As Pat was asking we do understand the concept of power and what it does to people..it's unfortunate because Kira like many other powerful people Is using that power in a way Man will not allow. Light grew up in the exact same world as us...he was an 18 year old boy who was top of the class and got bored and decided one day: I'm Going To Change This World. Obviously we're not geniuses like him and L. He started out with a goal that seemed noble at first...but as the cat and rat chase continued you can see him bending to the will of the power... As I read the manga for Vinland Saga I got a good idea of what happens when power comes great responsibility...I don't judge Pat at all for being Team Kira lol it's great to have that...but what I do wanna know is: Would he continue to follow his beliefs if he does something he doesn't like? Would he die for him...cause Kira atm would definitely not find a use for you anymore and off you the second your dedication to him waivers... Good tier discussion tho Normies. Plz double drop soon 😂

Kind of late reply, but I believe in the manga Near does a lot of more work to hone in Mikami and has to narrow it down from a pool of candidates that makes the process of narrowing down to Mikami much more logical. Whereas the anime cut out a lot of that and as a result a common complaint of this episode is how Near narrowing it down to Mikami feels like a complete ass pull.
