Here's hoping they watch Battlestar Galactica next, it stays in the "wtf is going on" vibes. fingers crossed.

PM

wtf double drop... 😍

Vaidas Šukauskas

Yeah, battlestar galactica would be awesome

Owen James McBrearty

There are two Jonases and two Marthas (not couunting the one from Jonas world who doesnt travel or do anything): One Jonas goes to Martha's world, impregnates a younger Martha and dies. The Martha who took him to this world goes to Adam, and she also dies. The other Jonas stays in his own world and eventually becomes Adam. The other Martha is persuaded by Bartosz not to save Jonas, and she becomes Eva. Adam does succeed in killing Martha and her unborn child - but because of quantum entanglement, there is also an unborn child in the womb of her other self - the one who becomes Eva.

Owen James McBrearty

Claudia's book, for anyone wondering, goes like this: The Unknown writes it - and gives it to alt Claudia. She gives it to main Claudia Claudia keeps it, and tears the last few pages out. She travels back in time and gives the book to Peter, the night Mads appears. Peter holds onto it until he dies, after which Elizabeth takes it to the caves. Noah the book back in time with him when he starts working for Adam, and eventually gets the last pages off of Claudia's corpse.

So seemingly Tronte really decided to ditch his wife before the apocalypse to go shack up with Claudia one last time. At least my guy is consistent.

I know in the past others have commented that the series creators had the entire show planned out from the beginning but the work itself completely supports this! I felt all of my questions were answered and everything lined up in the timeline(s). I think the only question I am left with is that after 2 seasons of Magnus and Francheska banging in every universe, they got sent back to 1888 and still weren’t responsible for any of these wacky time baby family trees?? Elite safe sex practices.

Owen James McBrearty

The Time Machine's timeline, for anyone interested: 1986 - Jonas takes an old, broken version of the Machine back in time to Tannhaus from 2052. Tannhaus looks at this machine, and uses the knowledge to create its younger version. Jonas takes the brand new time machine and tries to close the passage. 2020 - The following year, Jonas reunites with Hannah, and shows her Mikkel in 1987. Hannah steals the machine and takes it back to 1954. 1954 - After becoming pregant with Silja, she leaves for elsewhere, taking the machine with her. 1911 - Eventually, Hannah, Silja, and the machine arrive in 1911. They probably used an orb to travel, as 1911 and the 33 year cycle do not line up with Silja's age. Little does Hannah know, Six mundus already have an older version of this machine. 1920 - Noah starts using the machine. He gives it to Bartosz and shows him how it works. 2020 - Bartosz is captured by the teenagers, and they force him to show them what it does. They briefly travel to 1987 and back. 2020 - Jonas, Bartosz, Franciska and Magnus travel back. Because of the apocalypse, the machine is overloaded. They don't travel 33 years back in time, they travel 4*33= 132 years back in time, to 1888. The device stays with Sic Mundus, even as its younger self is delivered by Hannah in 1911. Eventually, Claudia manages to steal the device (likely using her other self's orb to do so) 1953 - Claudia delivers the plans for the device to HG Tannhaus, so he can eventually create the machine. She also gives him his book, so he can write it. 1987 - Claudia meets with her younger self, and shows her how the machine works. 1954 - Old Claudia buries the machine. 1987 - Middle Claudia digs up tha machine. She travels to 2020 and learns of Egon's death in 2 days time. Two days later, she and Jonas travel forward to 2020, to the day of the apocalypse. 2020 - Claudia, Regina, Peter, Elizabeth, and the Machine stay in the bunker. The machine is destroyed in the apocalypse. 2052 - Jonas takes the old, broken version of the Machine back in time to Tannhaus in 1986. He uses it to complete the younger version of the device, and the cycle begins again.

Owen James McBrearty

Jonas and Martha - have sex once, create a child who creates all of them, causes the apocalypse, and condemns them to an infinity of predetermined hell. Magnus and Franziska - have sex multiple times, create no demon babies, try and save everyone. Be like Magnus and Franziska.

I just feel bad for my boy Bartosz. He did nothing wrong and he doesn't get to exist anymore :( -Dustin

This is it. A show about love. A love story. Martha and Jonas, Claudia and Regina, etc. Love and imperfections and so much loss. And in the end, all of this was finally gone. Like someone said right after this season was dropped: "The way things ended, the only way out was breaking the cycle. It was enormous at the same way that it didn't matter anymore. Because, for those who stayed, it never even happened. It's gone; all the stories and realities - strong enough to cause a déjà vu in the end but a silent scream so weak that couldn't even wake up the person who slept next to Hannah." I suggest you to listen to the opening track ("Goodbye" by Apparat) and read the lyrics while thinking about the final episode. The whole story of the show was planned before season one aired so I wouldn't be surprised if the song was also a hint for everything. Anyway, I hope I can see you guys together in another great reactions for great shows soon.

nordquist7516

This specific crew should do Starz’s COUNTERPART next. Similar tone and scope and I think you guys would get a kick out of it. Also, Invincible overlap. Also, lots of German as well.

Storm King

Suraj your theory about Tannhaus's son Marek and the wife Sonja being symbolisms of Jonas and Martha is an actual theory. We think they are kind of like flipped reincarnations of each other. For example the wife name was Sonja and if you move the letters around a bit you get Jonas. Its not quite the same for Marek and Martha but they both have Mar. Also things you never really touched on Regina's dad was Helge' s father. You see that in the picture at the end showing the old man with Claudia and Regina....so yeah that's nasty lol And the Origin baby was indeed Tronte's father so Jonas and Martha are their own supreme great grand parents lol

Ivandro Moreira

While that is implied, it is not confirmed. Some things happen in all worlds even if at different times and a little different. Like Katharina name, that is a paradox in Dark world. Regina and Alexander exist in the Origin world, so there is no reason why Bartoz also doesn't exist. Given this, different time discrepancy, you have that is possible that Regina is already with Alexander, and he just couldn't go to the party, and she already has Bartoz. Or she will meet with him later than in the other worlds, and at the end they will have Bartoz.

Owen James McBrearty

Episode 8 is the only time Eva meets Adam. The Martha who meets Adam, dies. The Martha who stays in Evas world meets Jonas, but he dies, and she becomes Eva. The Jonas who becomes Adam never travelled to Eva's world. Adam and Eva wage a war against each other, but the scene where he is supposed to shoot her is the only time they meet.

Seamus Dowling

So how the hell does Claudia know that Regina won't get cancer in the origin world?

Anonymous

Claudia may have theorized that a world without a Winden Nuclear Power Plant would keep Regina safe from cancer. It's not really clear.

Seamus Dowling

Yeah, the Bernd/Claudia relationship is fucked up. He was creepily leering at her when she was about 12 talking about how womanly she had become. It also suggests that she slept her way to the top of the power plant leadership rather than earning it.

Guilherme Zanettini

It's the only time we as an audience see them meet. Its a loop and as Eva says.... he always pulls the trigger and does the same thing over and over. Till that moment.

Seamus Dowling

It wasn't made explicit in the show but I think the baby's body not being found in the river was important because it provided a cover story for Tannhaus to claim time baby Charlotte as his own. He was probably instructed to tell police that Marek and Sonja left the baby with him.

John Vick

This CAT experiment is BS..... you can be 100% certain that the cat is dead based on calculations... if you know exactly when the hammer falls because of the radioactivity and when the poison kills a living organism, then i dont need to look to know that the cat is dead. And even if i don't look, just because i don't see doesn't mean reality stops for the cat. The cat still dies. It is like the same stupid question : " does a tree make a sound if it falls , if nobody is there to listen " OF COURSE IT STILL MAKES THE SOUND. Sound doesn't stop existing just because there's nobody there to listen. If i bring into the woods let's say some kind of music playing device and put METALLICA- FADE TO BLACK on repeat mode, and then if i drive away, then that doesn't mean that The song stops to make a sound just because i was not there to listen. This is such BS..trivial shit to even think about it or to consider. I think stuff like that " thought experiments like that " are created for average stupid people, to keep stupid people thinking about stuff that is pointless, to make them " WONDER " ... wao i am so deep i think about DEEP stuff...i must be smart.. . when in reality you think about stupid stuff that is so obviously pointless to even consider.. The f CAT is DEAD after a certain amount of time has passed. Looking or not looking doesnt change reality.. Every day people die around the world , just because i dont see them dying doesn't mean they are not dying....see how stupid this thought experiment is? DEAD and ALIVE cannot coexist together... just like you can't Run while staying still.... you either are running or standing still, but you cant do both.

LOVED the reactions to this entire series. Thank you guys so much for doing it. Now can we get this trio to react to The Leftovers or Battlestar Galactica please? But I'll take anything this trio reacts to together, they all are great!

PM

well done.. u typed the shit out of ur keyboard .. i mean literally u typed SHIT out from ur keyboard for a half hour..

Anonymous

Loved your Dark reactions!! You guys are my favourite trio and you did not disappoint with this series! Pleaseeee do Buffy next! Best show ever, and it might be nice to get a break from the intense theorizing after Lost and Dark lol!!

Gorge Montoya

Yes.. Vampire Diaries... doooo it's (for the Originals)

Anonymous

How did Claudia figured it out? Well...remember Claudia is a full nuclear physicst and Adam and Eve are essentialy high school drop outs

Anonymous

I think episode 7 was the "bad" ending for the people wanting an infinite loop and episode 8 was the "good" ending for people wanting a resolution. Congrats on finishing the best tv show of all time! 👌🏼

Anonymous

I second the Battlestar Galatica call. I feel like this trio would be a great combo for that show in particular. So much fun theorizing with that show. Buffy is my favorite show of all time so will never turn down a reaction to that

Daniel R

Rana, you would love the Vampire Diaries. In fact, you're such a Elena Gilbert and you don't even know it LOL

Luke Wilson

Big vote for BSG and/or Buffy

MojoJojoGojo

A drunk explanation video to the other normies would be great to watch lol

Azenhawke

If life gives you lemons, throw them out the window and get yourself a cocktail

Anonymous

The Leftovers would definitely be a good one after Dark

Anonymous

Thank you guys so much for reacting to this show, I think that its truly something special and the only show I feel that could compete with Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. It was so much fun watching you guys go through the series and speculate on what was going on.

Victoria E (vickster5001)

I’ve loved your reactions to this show. It’s incredible that the writers created something so complex and yet tied it all up. Not many writers pull that off. As for show suggestions: - if you still want some theorising but not a complex puzzle, then Prison Break is fun. - I also loved Damages too for how it’s structured and Glenn Close is amazing. - I’d love a reaction to Line of Duty, probably the best British drama of the last decade. - If you do Buffy, don’t let the early eps put you off. It’s a bit cheesy early on, but it really grows in to something special. - oh and 24 would be a fun rollercoaster too.

BigTastey

In sticking with vampire themed show suggestions, "What we do in the shadows" is hilarious. Should consider that if looking for a comedy.

Anonymous

Loved these reactions so much! Would love to see the three of you one day react to The Magicians!

Anonymous

Buffy and the Vampire Diaries? For this group? No. Just no. Galactica, maybe, but that's a larger group thing, as is Line of Duty. Maybe Vampire Diaries too, but that could also be a no group thing, unless you stop after season three or four, and Buffy is a single person thing, if that. FailWhale is doing it and he's young enough it still works. These three, with the shows they've watched? Fringe.

Alexis Cardarella

Firstly, I love you three together, so please don't let it be your last! And if Nikki thinks TVD (which I consider a guilty pleasure, no offense) is a great show, she will definitely be in for a treat with Buffy. Buffy is.. top tier. It's the most academically studied show. Ever. It's complex, and full of themes having to do with very mundane issues, despite its silly ass title. I have been voting for it on every poll for, like, three years now. I've never felt nerdier in my life, and even a little undignified, in terms of how much I've pined for a group of strangers to watch this. I prefer the whole gang, even Nahid and Chris who have seen it, but I'll take the three of you watching it. ...That's all. On to the reaction.

Anonymous

I really loved your reactions to DarK! The show is even better on repeat viewings especially knowing how everyone is connected. Claudia is the true OG of the show! For future reactions, I recommend The Magicians & Battlestar Galactica

Now go to dark.netflix.io You can view the entire show's timeline and the two family trees. Each character on the tree, you can click to view their entire history up until their deaths. This information changes based on the episode you're on in the timeline. The site has an easter egg. View the entire history of either Jonas or Martha and then the timelines will dust away like the characters did at the end of the show. Now the family tree of the origin world will appear. Here will be the family tree of the families who are not part of the knot. I believe there is a trick to viewing all three family trees at the same time. I THINK you have to view the timeline again, or view Marek's character profile and click on Jonas or Martha's name in his profile. Then go back to view the family tree. Then all 3 family trees will appear. The website also contains answers to questions you didnt even know you had to ask. The website didnt always look the way it does now. It changed during the release of each new season. Have fun.

Alexis Cardarella

Well there it is. The mental gymnastics marathon has now come to an end. This show ended on such a poignant note. Thank you for watching this show. To me, this show doesn't need levity if you watch it with the right people. You yourself become the levity. I had so much belly laughs watching you guys. And YES to the drunk explanation of this show.

Bryan Steger

Dang ya'll really caught me up with my emotions with the ending of the show;(. This is my fourth time seeing the final season and I'm so glad I got to share this reaction with you all!!!

Anonymous

"Our love is a ghost that the other can't see..." shaping everything, behind the scenes, unbeknownst to everyone. Honestly, it has been so great to watch this again, with you guys. You three were the best, each contributing to a great experience. Thank for watching this show, and for loving it. It's one of my all-time favorites. What a journey it has been. I'll see ya'll on the next one.

DOUBLE DROP????!!!!!! Y'all catch me off guard every time

The tv series 12 Monkeys is a gem if you liked time travelling shows like Dark!

Kamina 1

I love that "i ain't shit" look on Adam's face when the Claudia pull's up and reveal's the truth to him. Lol the look on his face never changes throughout the entire finale. So satisfying! I always knew Claudia was end game after she told Noah way back when that he doesn't know how this game is played. Death is not the end when time travel is involved.

Kamina 1

"A glitch in the matrix" hits so different now considering how long Jonas, and Martha have been saying that to each other. Very clever writing. I can only imagine how great the re-watch value is for this series.
