I really love season 2! I think it's better than season 1 (which was great), but it's also very dialogue-heavy. Hope you all enjoy it too but be prepared... lots of talking. I think the Normies will like this season more, the lore is so interesting.

I think their gonna love this season but just try to pay attention to certain dialogues or you’ll get confused, this season is definitely just as good if not better than season 1

What some people used to complain back during season 1 was that this series didn't have any 'stakes' involved. That whenever a character besides Subaru dies. Subaru can just fix the problem by dieing and restarting again to save that specific someone from their fate. Yet here Subaru is put in a position wherever no matter how many times he restarts. He still can't prevent Rem from losing both her memories and name. Also. During the part where Greed was just about to devour Rem's name and memories. A few seconds of images flashed just seconds before the devour. One: Shows a couple together with a baby and a boy standing next to them. Two: Shows the man (an older looking Subaru) and the boy together and three: Shows a close up with a woman who looks a lot like an older Rem with long hair and a baby in her arms. Those images are actually from what was first called the Sloth What IF Story. The What IF's are an alternative route that takes place in very major specific moments in the main storyline if Subaru where to make the wrong choices leading him onto a different path entirely different from the main plot. The Sloth What IF route is the moment during episode 18 where Subaru asks Rem to run away with him. But with Rem actually agreeing with him and running away to live in the country of Kararagi and living happily together and managing to have two kids as well. A boy named Rigel Natsuki and a baby girl called Spica Natsuki. This What IF was also turned into a novel and has its own chapter in Vol 9 of the Light Novels with the title called Fragments: Rem Natsuki. Which the story was no more then just Rem's ideal fantasy of her and Subaru together. And good eye on catching the meaning of that knife in that scene. In the W/LN and manga. Subaru actually suicide in that room with that knife. And continue to die several times with that knife before giving up. They cut that part out but the symbolism is still there by the way Subaru eyes that knife.

The dub makes Rem's dialogue about Subaru so much more cringey. That is just my opinion. Reading it in the subs is still a little cringe but to hear it in your original language and hear how much it is forced just makes me want to skip that stuff. Just my opinion. That is all.

I can agree to that, I have no issues with the dub and they do a good job but the original is still better imo

It's not particularly cringe when i watched dub by myself in the confinement's of my room. But watching you guys react to it together is what feels cringe. Lol it's just something about that group atmosphere that makes me squint 😂

Season 1 was already great, but season 2 is just on another level. And I've heard it just gets better from there so I decided to read the web novel.

maybe that's just how this show is meant to be enjoyed? maybe its supposed to be an alone an personal experience? idk dude i LOVED The Frozen Bond but coming back into season 2 with Subaru... while I have managed my expectations of this show and know that its gonna be mostly dialogue... I'm trying to keep that in mind but idk what was so different about The Frozen Bond vs the show that made it so enjoyable... but coming back into season 2 my immediate thought is "here we go again with this whiney dude (subaru)" lol. I'm trying my best to enjoy it - Micky -

Oh god is dub that BAD is S2 for Re:Zero lol. Im seeing a lot of interesting ppl on the dub for S2. Im scared that the reactions r gonna be iffy now.... Update: oof it is kinda cringy ngl. If the other dub VA characters in this season r bad, wellll thats tuffff brooo idk.

I've gotten over it and I'm a sub lover. I force myself to watch S1 and 2 in dub and playing Prophecy of the Throne in dub to get used to it. 🤣

First time Subaru met Emilia she saved his life. First time he met Rem she killed him. a 2nd time she killed him too i think. Not too surprising he chose emilia

no, you weeb, they don't speak Japanese. you are physically incapable of reading the subs and seeing what is going on screen at the same time. watching in your native language will always be the superior watching experience because the ONLY way to both read everything they say AND watch everything going on, is to pause to read which takes you out the experience.

Rem killed him once. The death after that was from Rams wind blade to put him out of his misery from Rem's torture interrogation.

The way the sins are represented in rezero is great, personally my favorite since its of big relevance to the plot

I hope you guys can check out some scenes subbed after watching them dubbed, subaru’s voice actor absolutely killed it this season with the voice acting, even won an award for it.

I can understand being over the seven deadly sins, but they are a very, very commonly used trope in anime that you'll definitely see in even more anime as you continue watching more series. For me, it all comes down to how they are executed in a particular series, and I personally really like how they're used in Re:Zero. Edit: I also just watched further to the part where Nahid asked people for series that deal with the seven deadly sins, so off the top of my head, there's Fullmetal Alchemist, Seven Deadly Sins (obviously), Re:Zero, Digimon, Katekyo Hitman Reborn (can't remember if they're directly called out as the sins but a certain group has names and personalities based on the sins), not an anime but the Foretellers in Kingdom Hearts also have names based on the sins, and a newer series, So I'm a Spider, So What? also does some stuff with the sins. That's just what I can think of without looking it up, though.

He does this over and over, over and over. I mean... how do you not feel like agony and self doubt and loathing aren’t reasonable responses for him to have? He’s going crazy. Hi Rana. I just wanted to add that if you want to prevent Alzheimer's, you probably want to focus on a lifetime of good, steady, and ample sleep. That's the most important thing afaik, and perhaps the only thing when it comes to preventing the disease.
