So I been Team Gojira all day. Couple of things about the fights and movie. 1. Kong needed help from the humans THE WHOLE MOVIE. Gojira would have drowned Kong if the humans hadn't used depth charges to get him to release Kong. Then they had to help Kong play dead so Gojira wouldn't finish the job. Kong needed help making his way to/going into the hollow Earth. Then when he got there, the humans had to help him so he wouldn't be killed by the flying snake creatures. He gets the axe, then fights round 2, wins that. But round 3 Gojira beats his ass to the point he's near death and again, needs help from the humans to be revived (a nice throwback to the original Godzilla vs King Kong where was knocked out and was revived by lightning). Gojira had his foot on Kong's chest flexing like "If I do Atomic Breath now, it's over for you. You a king? What's a king to a God?" I especially liked how they showed Gojira didn't need Atomic breath to beat Kong. And before you muthafuckas come with the "Well Gojira needed help from Kong to beat Mecha Godzilla (🤔Or is it technically Mecha King Ghidorah)". Let me ask you this, do you honestly think Kong would have done better against the Mecha by himself? And again he needed help from humans AND Gojira to survive. Gojira 2-1 2. I did not like the whole Millie Bobbi Brown side story. I thought it was pointless and if you take it out the movie, it doesn't lose much. I wish they could make these movies with less humans and more monsters, but whatever. Also didn't like how they heavily stacked the deck yo make the audience more sympathetic to Kong as opposed to Gojira. 3. I thought the movie was great overall and glad I got to see it in theaters, then come home and watch on HBO Max. #TeamGojira
