Uh....the ninja is YANG’s mom. It was pretty clear on that MULTIPLE times. Ruby’s mom went on a mission and never came back, presumed dead. Yang’s mom left the family shortly after Yang was born.

If you wanted another reaction, there's a character short for Ruby that happens between vol 3 and vol 4 with some really amazing fighting. There are ones for Yang, Blake, and Weiss that can be watched between vol 4 & 5.

guys Taiyang is both Ruby's and Yang's father. They have two different mothers though, but Rubys mom is dead like it was shown when at the beginning of the season Yang's mom is still alive and is the ninja lady.

For reference on velvet. Her pack and camera copy weapons that she takes pictures of. And her semblance lets her copy the fighting styles that she sees. Which is how she is able to use the weapons like the people she sees. Though the weapons appear to be like one use per picture sort of deal.

Just to clarify a minor detail, Casey Lee Williams doesn't actually "voice" any characters in the show. She sings the songs that "Weiss" is singing so technically she could be classified as Weiss's singing voice, and also in the fighting game BlazBlue she voices Neo's grunts/efforts since she doesn't actually speak (Neo is her favorite character)

Also there is a short (similar to the color trailers you watched awhile back) that you're supposed to watch before Volume 4. It's just called "rwby volume 4 character short". Hope you guys enjoy Vol 4, the show gets pretty different from here on out (which comes with it's own set of pros and cons), but something you will likely notice immediately is that it looks a whole lot smoother. Vol 1-3 were made in an animation engine called "Poser", but for Vol 4 onward they switched to Maya, so the models and animations look a bit less jagged

Going back and rewatching these volumes through these reactions is blowing my mind having just finished watching the finale for volume 8 last weekend. You guys are in for soooooo much more awesomeness from this show in the coming volumes. Just wait till next volume when they upgraded their animation engine software!

Velvet's semblance is mimicry, so she uses her weapon to create weapons so she can copy the techniques of other people with her semblance.

I can totally relate to Suraj being upset with them killing Pyrrha as she was one of my favorites as well. In fact, both she and Penny were probably my 2 faves at that point and I was extremely angry that they were both killed. It didn't help that I watched all of season 3 in one sitting the first time around, rather than watching it weekly as it released, so I saw them both go in the space of an hour. I'm pretty sure I couldn't sleep that night as I was so upset. 😅

Tai is the father of both Yang & Ruby. Summer Rose is Ruby's mom while Qrow's sister is Yang's mom. Also, that was not a crow outside of Yang's window. It was a Raven

Hey, I'm not sure if you guys have time in your schedule, but if you want to see where Monty Oum first started at RT and his Magnus Opus I strongly suggest Red vs Blue (You don't need any previous knowledge of Halo to understand the show). It is the series got Rooster Teeth off the ground, and helped it to explode into the company it is today. Season 1 Episode 1 launched the same day RT was founded. Without the Red vs Blue mini series "Where there's a will, there's a wall" and Season 10, Miles Luna never becomes the huge cog that he is today. And without the impact RvB had on the Halo community, Jen Taylor (Voice of Cortana) Never would've signed up to voice RWBY's main villain (Who, if you watch the credits is known as Salem). The Episodes are short, so you can knock 3-5 out per video. The first 5 Seasons are comedy gold. But Season 6 has this dark unsettling tone, and is extremely lore and story driven, somehow making the crazy antics in the first 5 Seasons relevant. Like I said Season 8 is where Monty Oum comes in with his signature animation flair. And holy shit is it awesome. And not only is Season 10 is widely regarded as Rooster Teeth's greatest work period by those who have seen it. Its an emotional gut punch. Filled with the perfect balance of comedy, action, and tragedy. The only way that you won't cry, is if you're a heartless bastard. Just ask Murderofbirds. I know that there's a lot of content, but I promise that you will not regret giving it a chance.
