Marlo, Slim Charles, and Cutty have entered the show. The amount of hype that ran through my body re-watching this ep was insane lol. I can only imagine Chris, and Micky haha. So happy for the rest of the normies experience what's to come :)

Acash33

He’s right about them looking weak. Can’t wait to move forward this season.

Jarrod Wild

Cutty! My favorite.

Ryan

So now that Carcetti has entered the picture we’re going to be getting Suraj dressed as Little Finger in a skit right?

Queef Burglar

We need a patreon for paterons lol. I wanna see the next 3 episodes right now!

Michael Smith

Fun fact: The actor who plays Lt. Mello (The guy who is under Colvin and was leading the meeting talking about the beer cans) is the real life Jay Landsman. He auditioned for the part of Jay Landsman but he didn't get it.

and, the real Jay Landsman is the inspiration for Detective Munch from Homicide: Life on the Street and Law and Order: SVU (and who has appeared in 10 different series overall, which I think is a record).

Hey guys, been watching you since the GOT days and big fan of the Wire, so I was super psyched when you picked it up. Been loving these reactions so far. I actually had a request for this season. Not sure who reads these but hopefully Chris can take a look (since he’s seen the show before). I’ll try and keep it vague, but there will be SPOILERS in the next section. If you haven’t finished the show, now’s the time to stop reading. In this Season Finale, there’s a speech that a certain character gives at a meeting that has a strong impact. It’s a fantastic moment b/c the viewers find themselves swept up in the rhetoric—and thus miss the speech’s underlying message. The showrunners, upon realizing what their watchers missed, wrote Season 4 accordingly: to gradually reveal the quality of the speaker’s character, so that the viewers go from hope and optimism to cynicism. Chris, could you sit on the revelation about this speech when y’all hit the finale? This is assuming it doesn’t come up organically: if the others are able to read between the lines then great, more power to em. But in my own experience, Season 4 hits a lot harder when the viewer is tricked as well, and isn’t able to figure things out until it’s too late. Anyway, thanks. Love what you guys do, and looking forward to the rest of the reactions!

Carcetti is a City Councilman, so he's part of the legislative body of the city government and represents one of the city districts (in Carcetti's case, he's representing a mostly White, middle-class district). If you think of the mayor as the president, then Carcetti would be the equivalent of a senator, sort of.

They weren’t threatening Daniels pension last season. They mentioned his pension in regards to the fact that even though he had submitted his retirement papers they had yet to reach the pension board so there was still time for him to walk it back.

Ahh yes. Bunny Covin. He will be a fan favorite

jveezy

Since you confused him with Colvin's actor, if you're itching to see Andre Braugher (Captain Holt from B99) in a Wire-like show as a Baltimore cop, he plays a detective in Homicide: Life on the Street, another show by David Simon.

Upon rewatching - Spidey's audio was very low. Hard to hear in this episode. :( Not sure what your mic setup is like in this new room, but that's something to look at.

Cutty is interesting. Apparently the real person his backstory was based on was actually a rather horrible guy, but Cutty's story in the show is great.

It's cool to rewatch and notice how these characters are introduced in the background. Marlo does get his own scene, but Slim is just sitting in the back there. :))

MarkeMarke .

this season is lit , as the kids would say.

I love Suraj's immediate and visible love for Cutty. It's how I feel too.
