lol i love how there was a split opinion in beteguese's charisma. he reminds me of joker, which obviously has a large fanbase. many argue that ppl like the joker even more than batman. hes that type of character lol

Subaru wasn't truly insane/broken. After witnessing the aftermath of the village and mansion. He tried to desperately to deny the reality of the situation around him and do nothing and let others take care of everything for him. Hence why Betelguese called him out of pretending to be broken which why he said, "If you truly mean it, then you would pay the gazes of others no heed!" The presuming of Rem being dead by the Unseen Hand is what snapped Subaru back into the reality of the moment. Also, what does Betelguese mean by the 'abundance dence love' on Subaru? Also about him happening to be Pride? And also. Subaru was respecting Rems wishes to 'live'. So he thought on himself that he wouldn’t take his own life and brought it upon fate to decide how he should die. Anyways. This reaction is what every Re:Zero fan looks forward to. Betelguese represents everything that a insane villain should be. Which is one of the reasons why he is my #1 favorite villain in anime, light novel and manga. Also lol! Most of everyone takes on calling Betelguese, (Beetlejuice) that's pretty common! 🤣 PS: I heard you guys switched to Dub around episode 18 huh? Regrettable but understandable. I will surely miss your guys reaction to the emotional phenomenal performances of Japanese VA of Subaru, specifically Season 2. Though oh well, at least you guys are watching it.

YESSSSSSSSSS.!!!!! MY FAVORITE ANIME VILLAIN.!!!!!!!! BETELGUESE.!!!!!!! Btw, Betelguese is voiced by the same actor who voices Inosuke in Demon Slayer, and Soma in Food Wars, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka.!!!! The voice who speaks at the "blue frozen room" and that huge cat figure at the end is Puck. You guys will understand more why he will do this as the anime goes along. Rem is best girl, no one, and I mean NO ONE could change my mind on that.!!!

Check out Nahid's recent stream on Twitch of Demon Souls. Apparently he had a lot to say about that 'moment' near the end of episode 18. It also tells basically what team he is on in the Emilia VS Rem wars. 🤣

This show has some of the best villains, can't wait until they get to see more of them. Hard to wait for new eps since the timeline is such a slow burn. I wouldn't call the show itself a slow burn, since new and interesting things happen every episode, but thanks to the reset mechanic it takes a long time for characters to get introduced (but at the same time it develops existing characters super well)

You guys switched over to the dub?? oh no.... Please please please at least for season 2 watch the sub. You have to watch the sub. Season 2 is when it gets super good and the sub expands on the scenes so much. Nahid I understand how you are feeling but you need to get through this part and it will get much better. Episode 18 was shit in a lot of ways but it was needed and once you hit like 19 or 20 it gets better. Season 2 needs to be in the sub.

Thanks to the people here mentioning that they switched to dub. Honestly, the reactions of Re:zero in sub was the main reason I still supported them. With the switch to dub I'd rather support a different creator. Thanks for trying at least!

Wait you switched to dub this far in?? I joined just for the Re: Zero content after I found out you switched to sub early on. Ngl, can't help but feel like I wasted some money here cause I am not sitting through the Re: Zero dub again, guess i should have done a little more research, it didn't occur to me that you would switch back again after so many episodes
