I think I'm gonna hold out on watching the reactions for Re:Zero, as what I like most about the show is in fact the characters, and moments such as this "lengthy talking" even though the show does have it's epic and action moments. I kinda felt saddened about their opinion in that matter. I feel as though they're always waiting for things to "happen" when they're happening. It's an unpopular opinion I think but the show is definitely targeted to those who know anime tropes and Japanese culture, as things like the suffixes and folklore references fly over their heads. Of course that's not their fault, and I hope they do continue to enjoy the show!

Yeah they definitely are missin out because of the cultural differences nd references, but it seemed like marketa really enjoyed it tho nd actually got this ep right, good enough for me

Marketa made such good points. And one thing they should understand is that this show has a lot of motivational talks such as this. The author tried his best to make the characters act and feel as real as he can, so it's natural that someone like Rem who's gone through crap like you saw in her backstory. Deserved a long motivational talk such as this, to be able to get pass her doubts and give her life more meaning. You think something brief such as "I'm sorry for what you been through," or "I'm here for you," would really make more of a difference? For some sure, but everyone reacts different and some just need more motivation and compassion then others to make a difference. The show, basically the series in whole builts heavily on Drama more so then the fights or any action related. The fantasy world acts like our own, yet more unforgivable and the people there act more realistically then most other fantasy anime/manga you may have watched, read or played in video games. Oh! There's 25 episodes in the whole of Season 1! The platform you are watching it on likely has it broken into Part 1 and Part 2.

Hey guys Marketa here, this was probably my favorite Re:Zero episode. Right now we're at a point where things took a huge turn, I don't want to disclose much but all I am going to say is that I very much miss this episode right now , lol. my brain is filled with nightmares.

Marketa is keeping this going for me! Like a lot of people, I was stoked when this was announced to be the next show, but I did not take into account what the guys (or most basic anime watchers) may expect going into it. This isn’t an action adventure. It’s not a shounen by any means. In fact, it’s not even a mystery. It’s a character piece, a drama. It takes its time to breathe and flesh things out and rewards people who pay attention and value conversations over fight climaxes. Which is NOT a slight on Micky or Nahid anyone disappointed by the show; it’s just an observation that this may in the long run not be a show for them. But I do hope it is! Rana and Marketa seem to be enjoying it and that’s great.
