A professor in college told me we've found out there is a max number of hours of continuous combat someone can withstand before they are just broken mentally. Doesn't matter who you are or how strong you are, there is only so much you can take before you break. The Japanese used attrition of constantly making combat a constant issue with skirmishing, sniping, ambushing, traps, etc... along with the environment waging war on the Americans as well. Almost everyone there broke at one point or another. Some were able to recover until they broke again, and some never could.

I had that pissing issue in middle school. I remember it mainly because the Sega Genesis had this new thing called Sega TV where you basically got to play all these games through the cable line with your Sega. I missed school for a week because of it so not as bad as Leckie for sure but it makes you feel like you always have to piss constantly.
