Re zero is trash

Gabriel Moreira

Its a Nice show... A little overrated cause the fans think It has no flaws. I really want to see how you guys Will react to the main character. I think he is the thing that ruins the show for me... But i do hope you guys can enjoy it tho

Jesse Collins

Others say otherwise. And by their reactions, they too enjoyed it. So it doesn't matter what you think dude.

samuel lehmas

I would suggest watching the directors cut in sub. Much better imo. This show gets very dramatic and emotional and I personally feel like the sub does a better job at really showing those emotions and such. Also the directors cut is good because it makes everything feel more in line if you know what I mean... Hard to explain in text but anyway those are my suggestions. This is obiouvlsy fine either way, im glad u guys are watching it.

Joanaver

I have heard a lot of great things about the directors cut, maybe I will watch it. But this is a great show, it gets annoying at some parts, season 2 is way better in my opinion. There is so much information in that season, I can't wait for January for part 2.

Jesse Collins

Nice reaction. And the word 'Haidara' is something like a battle cry.

Nahid confirmed on Discord that they're switching to sub for episode 4. But, if they get a strike, then they're gonna switch back

Anonymous

Love that u guys r enjoying the show and the roller coaster ride that is this show is something else

Chronicler

I very excited with you guys! Great reaction! Like many others said, the sub is less cringy but I am all in either way

Nagisa

Video game, hmmm.. Have you heard of a term called ISEKAI

Re:zero gets better with every episode, trust me

You misunderstand something , there are objektive flaws in every show but when a person is enjoying something you dont it just means these flaws dont detract from the overall enjoyment for a person , for that specifical show.

DAki

Clearly they haven’t. I think this is their first isekai? Unless they have seen SAO

Jason Jeffory

As much as I love Rem and Ram. Maybe have a different background. I can barely even see what’s going on.

christopher aquino

in my opinion, the show does not get really good till season 2

Man the dub is rough

Alex cleveland

What did they confirm that they switching to dub on ep. 4?? If so thats what I'm talking about. Love u Normies.

KingKien1

When are y'all watching another anime in sub? I know Vinland is subbed but I haven't seen that. But right now, y'all watching 3 other anime in dub. Should have at least 2 sub and 2 dub animes.

Deavon Harper

Just on the technical side of things, Re:Zero is not available on funimation, it is a Crunchyroll exclusive. The dub was produced by funimation in partnership with crunchyroll. It is available subbed and dubbed on crunchyroll.

Flood55

"Some crazy sh*t is about to go down, ya'll." That's like almost this entire show in a nutshell.

Re:Zero is an S tier show. Full stop. It’s not perfect, but it is consistently incredibly great. It’s writing, directing (this!), music, and voice acting are all top notch. Without spoiling anything, I’ve found in my experience that the people who don’t like it normally (not always, as there is accounting for genuine personal preference) tend to fall into two categories: 1. They think it’s overrated. This almost always comes from people who drop the show early on expecting more action (instead, this is a dialogue heavy drama) or genre shenanigans, or oppositely who just hate the genre of isekai altogether and lump it in blindly without actually watching the damn thing. They initially see a bumbling idiot, some bewbs and loli’s, and think they know where it’s going with it’s return by death by episode 6. I say this because most of these people claiming it’s overrated never seem to have anything to say about the show past the first few episodes. They’re largely blind haters that a show they couldn’t get into themselves is so popular, and thus dismiss it and get reactors to do so as well. There were a lot of these people when Shingeki no Kyoujin (attack on titan) first came out before it settled into its well earned status. 2. They dislike Subaru. These people tend to stop around midway or after season one. Without spoiling anything, this is a character drama. It’s also NOT an ensemble piece. Everything is from a singular perspective. So if you dislike the protagonist, it’s reasonable you won’t have a good time. What gets me is WHHYYY people dislike him. The author flips a lot of tropes and more importantly challenges a lot of generally accepted mindsets out there. Subaru is a good but flawed person who’s various traits represent a lot of the people who would normally watch isekai in the first place. Hence, they feel attacked when his character gets put through terrible situations, or he is shown for his less admirable qualities, confronted by hard truths and a need to change and grow up. Some people just want their power fantasy show (a scary amount of people) without feeling guilty or preached to, and instead attack Subaru for his ‘idiocy’ because they don’t want to see their own similarities to him. That or they don’t like a certain choice made about 2/3 through this season and can’t let it go, but I won’t divulge anything specific until we get there. Again, this is just based off my own experience and I’ve been following this show across various reaction channels, blogs, and subreddits. While there’s always some exceptions, I’m not exaggerating when I say a stark majority of detractors of the show fall into one of those two categories. To the Normies and newcomers: Re: Zero is not an easy watch. In fact, I’m worried about how the Normies (they are called that for a reason despite how much I genuinely love ‘em all) will grow with this show since they’re used to a singular type of anime (shounen), and previous attempts to go against that are met with confusion (initial AoT reactions) or mixed feelings and downright misunderstanding (Vinland Saga). They’re enjoy Death Note so I’m hopeful that by mid-season here they won’t just walk away out of frustration. 😬 But we’ll see. It’s not an easy show, but it is a beautiful one. Just bear in mind one thing: This is basically EMPATHY the show. You get what you put into the characters and their misfortunes and faults and circumstances. After all, empathy is what beats envy..

Ethan

People overhype the show but in all homesty it’s kinda trash but that’s just my opinion

Artur Vegis

I watched for 10 ep when it aired and dropped it too, I dont think its too good, but I feel like people just simp for the girl characters :P

L.C.

The dub is really cringe. Not a good dub in my opinion. Too much info will be lost in translation.

L.C.

I really hope they do switch over cause it will be for the best. They can keep up with subs for the majority based on them keeping up with Vinland saga. ReZero is just so confusing in general until you get answers but the dub would make it most likely worse.

Quinton Teratino

If you guys like this type of setting, you guys would love rising ogvthe shield hero.

Jason Jeffory

Don’t listen to the haters. The dub is really good. Especially Bettleguise. I’ve watched both sub and dubs. And I still prefer the dub.

Theory of Hope

The dub loses too much information in translation and emotion. The voices just dont match the characters well and we need that emotion when the heavy stuff happens

Zeke

This just isn't true at all. The info is retained really well. Have your preference but don't use that as justification for dunking on the dub.

Theory of Hope

I think my problem with the dub is mainly Subaru. In the sub he comes off as more genuine, even with his fault but the dub voice makes him 900% more unlikable to me. He just sounds like hes trying too hard but never hits the true emotional/painful notes that the Japanese voice actor can hit.
