Bellarke !!

That 2 headed deer she saw one time made it to the wall I think because it symbolized Finn also he made that necklace for her of it like he made the raven necklace for raven

Kataleesi

The only time Clarke ever really did anything for herself to be selfish was season 6 (which as annoying as it was as a mom I can understand)she kinda went to the extreme. Literally everything else was for everyone else and their mom.

THIS IS NOT A SPOILER: Oblation I think means offering to the gods, was a tradition back in the day when people gave their kids to the church to live a monastic life, or when people chose a monastic life, essentially you're offering your life to the God. So sure oblation could refer to giving your life to the primes as a host but in this world oblation is a very specific thing. Remember that book Josephine wrote, the one Abby said was propaganda for a eugenics program? The program Josephine mentions would have solved their host problem? The one she essentially had to put a stop to? Remember the "Offering Grove" where the dead host girl was buried and where that guard was being consumed by a tree? Josephine wanted to create a eugenics program to weed out all the people unlikely to produce nightbloods. She wanted a pure herd of night blood hosts and Russel was against this. The nulls are a soft version of this, they are people who aren't allowed to procreate. They are seen as essentially useless. Now the offering grove. This hasn't been confirmed yet but my theory is that the offering grove, the plants, Murphy's near death hallucination, the red sun spores, and the anomaly are all connected. But I have no strong evidence for this, but I think the plants are alive and the anomaly is their consciousness, maybe offering people to the woods keeps the anomaly satisfied who knows. But enough of my rambling, good reaction.

whenever they say World Clock, I hear World Cock. Don't know why.

Bitch 1

I can’t believe he’s sitting there calling Clarke two faced but loving Echo? Am I in a alternate reality? Echo is a bitch that follows people. Clarke is a strong leader with her own mind, not some puppet ala’ Echo. A huge joke. All Clarke has done since the drop ship landed was be protective over her people and do what’s best under horrible circumstances. Yet she’s blamed and judged while others sit on their ass. She’s sacrificed the most out of anyone and deserves some happiness. Get out of here with that Clarke hate. I can’t even take this seriously. She’s the least selfish person on this show. Selfish people don’t repeatedly put their life on the line for others. Selfish people don’t stay behind on a desolate earth to save her friends. Clarke even sacrificed her own life for Echo, you know after the dummy that tried killing her several times. But Clarke allowed Echo to keep the spacesuit in season 4 and gave her own suit to Emori. I’m offended he dared uttered the word selfish. Clarke needs to be more selfish.

It's really interesting hearing you guys talk about Clarke's guilt and sadness over everything she's done. Personally, the burdens she takes on and her struggle with it have been obvious for a long time, she always feels the weight of her actions - "I bear it so they don't have to." I'm surprised this was a revelation lol. Maybe that's why you didn't get her character completely? That she isn't two faced, but instead makes really hard decisions (that are not always right) and accepts the consequences, the pain it inflicts on her? Surprised that major character trait wasn't obvious. 🤔❤ Like Amos on The Expanse is a sin eater. Amos does the hard things so others don't have to commit them, "I am that guy." Clarke is a burden eater, she takes the terrible, no good outcome decisions on herself so the others can have lighter souls. *** Addendum 🤣: I just watched the full length and I was wrong, sorry! You all DID get Clarke's character ... from the clipped version it plays like the couch is surprised by her internal struggle, that's why I wrote the above. But in the full length you talk about what's happening and you're all on point with your observations. My bad!! Good discussion during the full length, everyone should check it out!

Do yourself a favor and take some deep breaths

there is no excuse when it comes to her stealing the bunker in s4 for skaikru

Johanna T.

Jasper kind of did the same thing, that that guy did. He didn't shoot himself in front of clarke, but he did kill himself and gave her all the fault. It's a nice parallel between josephine and clarke, and it affected both of them. Just differentely.

The baby was a null, meaning it has no carrier genes for the nightblood gene. Oblation means a "gift presented to a God'. Most likely a sacrifice. Josephine was straight up killing that baby, so that they can be removed from "muddying the bloodline" of Sanctum. They don't want their genes mixing with everyone. So basically eugenics. And the vines were going to give the baby a slow death, just like that guy that Echo met in the forest before she mercy-killed him. Isaac wanted to save the baby from dying by giving it to the Children of Gabriel.

this was my favorite episode of this season along with another one later on but the memories and appreciation for how monty was her good projection to remind her that giving up is nothing like her and all the symbols/objects of the people who died that hold guilt in her still was amazing in writing, just shows that all the characters of the 100 still whole in all the past seasons that hurt/guilt them still. Alot of the fans when this came out we paused and look through the walls and saw so many that you may not recognized but Lincoln is on the wall by the door where Bellamy is standing next to him from the scene when they captured Lincoln and was hurting him for answers, you got rogan, the deer is when Finn was speaking to Clarke while looking with her, Wells the guilt of Clarke thinking it was him who killed her dad and spent time hating him for it, there's rogan and Lexa's fight on the wall, the grounders in the cage from mount weather, luna is on the wall, hugging her dad, her mom and dad on the wall from the memory with wells and chancellor, the tree from Montys green, Finn laying down in the bunker after sleeping with Clarke, lexa laying down after Clarke was looking at her after they slept together, jasper holding the paper with the names, Madi when Clarke tased her, the dead bodies after Clarke pulled the lever with Bellamy, jasper speared, Clarke on the tower during primfiya, Murphy being hung, octavia "we're back bitches" Clarke's drawing on the floor from when we first see her, Bellamy's face when he tells Clarke "together" before pulling the lever with her, jasper holding Maya's body, lexa and clarke running in the ally's chip, the prisoners face that dizora killed, bloodrina after getting out of the bunker for the first time, the ice nation queen dead after lexa speared her, and ofc all the labs and bunkers are shown. There is so much more but here's a couple if you wanna know what was there

Gabriel's children are, for the most part I think, babies sacrificed to be "eaten" by the forest who have been saved by people like Isaac. Null people are not allowed to have children because they do not have the genes to transmit Nightblood. Null can only be guards or janitors. And when a Null couple has a baby, he is sacrificed in the forest.

Josephine is able to read people very well. Not perfectly but well enough. She knew that Bellamy accepting her death would be Clarke's breaking point. And I love that when she needed to manifest hope it was Monty that she imagined.

Wolverine101

Welcome to one I'd the best episodes of the entire series. I love everything about this episode. It has great character moments, backstory, development, suspense, and is just a ton of fun. This is the deep dive into Clarke's psyche that the show has needed for so long and I love every second of it. Also, Josephine is amazing and Sara Thompson deserves all possible love and praise for her portrayal of our loveable little sociopathic, traumatized, immortal eugenicist.

Wolverine101

This is also Clarke internalizing his messaging of doing better. She is literally telling herself to fight back because letting this atrocity continue to happen is not what anyone would call doing better.
