Two things I loved about this episode: Josephine being a master manipulator. She sways Murphy, Abbie and Bellamy in one episode. She diffused Bellamy in an instant by offering her Dad, she knew that if Bellamy killed him B would be digging his own grave and it'd be over and if he didn't kill him it'd be over. Plus the Dad is chipped so she doesn't consider the body's death "true death." She's not concerned with the body's death. Second, Murphy's rationale. When I first saw last week's ep I was sad and mad at Murphy's betrayal but then this episode showed his thought process and it made perfect sense. Rana's right, he saw hell and is frightened. But more importantly, Murphy thinks like a strategist/politician. I don't agree Chris that it had anything to do with a dislike of Clarke. Imo for what he knows Clarke is dead & there's no changing that, so killing The Primes would just be reactionary, purely for revenge. And the consequences of that revenge would be the possible deaths of his friends and the dooming of the Hundo clan to extinction, since they need Sanctum's help to survive. It's a bad move to retaliate, he sees that, and by the end so does Bellamy. His decision is actually the smart one and makes alot of sense. Also, #Bellarke4Eva Bellamy's sobbing in the dark over Clarke's death I can't 😭❤

This was a great reaction and even greater discussion. As much as I love this season, one thing that I never quite understood about the primes, similar to Marketa’s point, is why they continue to do what they do like it’s a necessity. I mean, I get that Josephine is unapologetic because she’s a narcissistic sociopath lol so I understand her POV but Russell and Ryker act like they feel so bad about what they’re doing and like they have no choice when they could just…die. I’m guessing that their immortality has become an addiction of sorts. If I had to put myself in that position, it would be strange and hard to just decide to never come back, especially when things have been good for 200 years, but I wish the writers had gone a little deeper into the psychology of the primes and that someone (Raven kinda does) had specifically called the primes out on the fact that they don’t NEED to live forever, they don’t NEED to lie to their people, they just want to because they’re addicted to immortality. It's kinda similar to Mount Weather, they didn't need to immediately take skaikru's bone marrow but they were too impatient & afraid of not getting consent. But at least Mount Weather was unapologetic about it, Russell and Ryker are trying to act like good guys without a choice when they clearly have one. I also like what Chris had to say about Josephine’s impulsiveness and lack of empathy. I always wondered why she is the way she is. In a future episode, there’s some insight into that, but I don’t feel it’s enough to explain her behavior. But when Chris brought up how her immortality affects her morals and creates a total disregard for life other than her own, it makes sense. I think she already had some narcissistic and impulsive traits beforehand but they were only amplified by years and years of cycling through bodies. Interesting stuff. See y’all next week!

I feel it's not really that overcomplicated they dont want to die because once u experience living forever why would u choose to die? let's be honest if you've been alive for hundreds of years and enjoy it why.. you'd want to continue doing so & yeah a future episode does kind of explain why Josephine lacks empathy and I feel just throughout those years of coming back to life she lost more and more empathy each time she just became super selfish and only thinks about her own survival
