The coming next episodes are crazy good but I want to say one thing, the next arc is my second favorite arc after Chimera Ant arc.. can’t wait man, this is gonna be a hell of a journey until the end!

I'm glad you guys are enjoying the ride. I'm watching along with you, this show is really great. The ending of the episode was so heavy and provided the gray areas that this show has done well for such a long time. This is one of the few shows where I walked into it with no information and can't fully guess what happens next . Fun discussion at the end!

The moment Gon threatened to kill Komugi if he was made to wait any longer was the moment you know Gon doesn't care about anything in the world besides avenging Kite at that point. And even then it's probably more about satisfying his own anger than avenging Kite. Threatening an innocent life, even one affiliated with "the enemy" is something Gon would never have done before this arc. Hell, in just the last arc Gon & friends all decided to forgive and not kill Genthru The Bomber, even though he killed tons of innocent people. But when Gon has someone he personally cares bout affected, it's entirely different to him. Gon actually has a very selfish morality.

I wouldn't worry much about the movies. They're not cannon, and they aren't particularly stellar. They're also not written by Togashi, and HxH without it's writing is like an egg without the yolk.

Technology > Nen. When I first watched HxH, I had the impression Nen users were on the level of Saiyans. Also, Killua running into Netero's nen was a flashback when he was first scouting the Ant grounds. This was back when Netero was meditating (or vibing) as preparation for the invasion.

Man I want to go into this but Impossible without spoiling. I will add my brother who is now a doctor in psychology wrote a paper on Gon. Gon is a textbook sociopath. Which isn't uncommon for anime heroes (example Goku putting everyone in danger for a good fight). They make for great compelling stories.

I mean at least the animation of the movies is decent. Also the backstory of Kurapika that is in one of them is actually canon. Everything else about them feels really off though since Togashi obviously wasn't involved as you said.
