Netero's last words actual have a double meaning if you read it in Japanese: The line is often translated as: "Do not underestimate humanity's infinite potential for evolution!". But it is also translated as: "Do not underestimate humanity's infinite potential for malice!". Humans are cruel, and capable of such monstrous acts that the Ants couldn't hope to match.

The crazy part about that fight was the King went in not trying to kill Netero . Just imagine if he did it would be over way quicker than it was.

I really love how Togashi really subverted a lot of the usual shounen tropes that were used to. He flips them on their heads and creates a narrative so full of depth. And MADHOUSE, did an excellnet job with the anime adaption. Music is A+++.

When Gon and Killua were trying to get the ball from Netero WAAY back on the airship, Gon says "The old man has barely used his right arm and his left leg." Foreshadowing.

I love how Netero admits defeat in the battle by giving Merum his name before he proceeds to detonate the Rose. Despite his pride as a fighter he put his duty above all of that and used this move that is probably seen as dishonorable to ensure humanity wins the war in the end. It contrasts Gon’s motive. He is not there to fulfill his duty as hunter but for revenge. He hasn’t done anything to truly help the others in their mission. He’s not even really keeping Pitou there either because she is dedicated to her duty at saving Komugi’s life which kept her out of the fight. It subtly showing revenge really isn’t doing much for anyone without telling us.

Netero's line can be translated as either "human's ability for infinite evolution" or "ability for infinite malice." But considering the context, more so later when we learn more about the bomb he used, it feels like malice fits a lot better than evolution. The scene isn't really supposed to be "fuck yeah humanity." It's more like "humanity is fucked up." But again, this comes up more in later episodes.

I've waited so long!!! So many great lines and words: "If there is a hell, I will see you there" "Unconscious bias" "Indiscriminate love" "Your tomb" "Humanity's infinite potential for evolution/malice" "Checkmate from the start" "Vain words were no mere boast" "You believe i cannot pray with one arm?" "Don't lose your life before i succeed" and many more. Also, the imagery is unmatched. So much symbolism. Its perfect how the fight doesnt focus too much on one side. Perfect mix of symbolism and visual technicality.

love you guys but all of u reacting to a specific show realy need to stay away from any hype saying ''wait for this etc''. it's becoming more and more noticeable that ur fake reacting just because ur fans hyped up an episode too much, you prob feel like you need to have a reaction worthy of that hype. just enjoy the series, be honest and chill.. all we ask. i'm almost inclined to skip atleast two episodes coming up, cause those are my favourites and i have a feeling you'd overreact. again i say this with love <3

Of course the Bodhisattva is real, it's a manifestation of Netero's Nen. It has been confirmed in lore that Nen is tangible and there is an entire class of nen user who can create objects/beings with their nen (conjurer). In Demon Slayer the visual effects ARE NOT REAL, how many times does the author themselves have to confirm that they are metaphors for you to believe it? The effects of the thunderclap, smell of lightning, and such are just representations of the way that the slayers fight. You wouldn't think that praying mantis style kung fu turned someone into an actual praying mantis would you? Or that the crane kick made people sprout wings? No! It's all about metaphors, many fighting styles have been based on or named after various aspects of nature and the same goes for the demon slayer fighting styles. Water breathing is all about flow, rotation, and consistent pressure like a river or tide. Lightning breathing is fast, precise, and involves quick-draw techniques much the same as lightning strikes a small are and usually not in rapid succession. Beast breathing is best described by Inosuke's first fight with Tanjiro when he's fighting mostly on all fours, low to the ground. Tanjiro even described it as like he was fighting a wild animal. Thus, the sword attacks are about aiming for vital points and overpowering with brute strength, much the same as animals do when they hunt prey. It starts to become harder to point out tenants of fighting styles as the breathings become more abstract (love, insect, mist, etc.) but they are still there.
