gus sounded like the devil

I don’t think Kim is aware that Jimmy went to the malpractice insurance company for the express purpose of fucking Chuck and HHM

Dante

The reason Jimmy flipped out at the copier machine guys is that he sees his dad in them. They are shmucks who will buy into any story that some random person tells them and he has no respect for people like that.

Esteban Alarcón Ceballos

From Kim's perspective Jimmy's done nothing wrong, she doesn't know about the malpractice insurance tip that Jimmy did, and all she knows is that Chuck was a shitty brother who never acknowledged all that Jimmy did for him and just wanted to fuck him over from beyond the grave, so all she knows is he's dealing with grief and wants to be supportive and protect him from a hostile environment, which in this case would be all the HMM world.

Just finished the 5 season, honestly for me, Bettter Call Saul is much better than Breaking Bad. BB had few episodes masterpieces, but for me it's about consistency, I enjoyed every episode of BCS

Kim had every right to go off at Howard. Kim feels Howard owns (some of) the blame for (some of) Jimmy’s problems. He did go along with Chuck’s decision to shut him out. He also didn’t promote Kim when she worked under him, took the credit for her work in the Kettleman’s case, and banished her to doc review. She deserved that scene and Howard had it coming to be quite honest.

I’ll preface by saying Jimmy deserves a bit of hate for burdening Howard with all that guilt. However, “Howard did nothing wrong” is untrue. For all his good intentions, Howard played along with all of Chuck’s schemes and sided with him against Jimmy, helping turn Jimmy into the person he is now. Howard could have just hired Jimmy, but went against his better judgment and chose to let a brotherly feud ruin every potentially great business opportunity that came their way. I have little sympathy for Howard, because his guilt comes too late. The damage on both sides over three seasons has been done, and like Kim said, there’s just about nothing that either party can do at this point to repair it. Furthermore, why is Jimmy at fault for Chuck’s freak out in court? Yeah sure, “Jimmy messed with Chuck’s insurance” yadda yadda, but everyone was literally cheering that Chuck deserved that after everything he put Jimmy through. Besides, it’s only fair that Both brothers suffer the legal consequences of their actions. As far as I’m concerned, Chuck’s own pride led to his death. He antagonized his own brother, attempted to sue his own firm, and pushed away everyone who cared for him all for a mental illness that he did not accept as real. Jimmy tried his damndest to save Chuck but was screwed over at every morally correct turn by both Chuck and Howard. I’m not surprised that Jimmy has little to no love left for either of them. Kim is the only character whom I feel 100% sympathy for. She’s too amazing for anyone, and she proves it with almost every scene she’s in.

So usually in wills they allocate a certain amount of money to key individuals, this is to indicate that the person wasn't forgotten by the dead person. If Jimmy was not on Chuck's will at all, Jimmy could have contested the will, saying that chuck was not in the right state of mind as he forgot about his own brother. Chuck made sure to give the minimum amount so that no one could make that case.

if you were caught up with the show you would feel different

I'll never understand this Gus love. He's a horrible person. I understand Walt wasn't good either, but i was happy when he got rid of Gus. One less Gus in the world is a better world. Gus is basically Sasuke, semi-good person at one point, bad thing happens and you're consumed by revenge. Revenge is never a good thing, it's all consuming. Unfortunately, the show doesn't have a Naruto lol

Ian

I'm with you on that 100%. I think they just compare him to the salamancas and just think he's that much better.

Josh B

Howard is trying to do the right thing, but I also see where Kim is coming from. I think it's a bit of both, and that's why this show is so good.

Everything Kim said to Howard was true. I think most of the rage in her delivery stemmed from Kim and Howard's complicated history. People seem to forget that Howard was a bigger dick to Kim than he ever was to Jimmy

The Ultimate Ed

To be fair, for Howard, he kept things mostly professional. He was a dick to Kim, but that's because she and Jimmy put his reputation at risk. A rep that is very important to his firm. Something he cares deeply about as not just the legacy of his family but also all the people that loyally work for him.

The Ultimate Ed

"I feel like they're using Howard as a punching bag." IT. WILL. ONLY. GET. WORSE!

I understand the surprise at Kim's outburst, but let's keep in mind Howard was a dick to her multiple times. Adding to that, she does not know about everything that Saul has done to Chuck. Plus, she has a point in questioning why Howard would even say what he said to Saul after the funeral. It's not like he's friends with either of them, specially Saul. So, yea, it did feel like he said all of that to make himself feel better. Kim and Saul don't owe him anything.

And for the record, I like Howard. It's just a prime example of why Gilligan and Gould's shows are so good: you can understand/root for most characters. None of them are without flaws. :)

I know I'm late on this, but you guys were so off base with the Kim hate. I loved her after this scene, because it showed just how much she cares about Jimmy and recognizes the damage that it's doing to him. You can still feel bad for Howard, but that was the response of a woman standing up for the man she loves. She was on point with every single one of her arguments, especially the one about the scholarship.
