COVID-19: Update number 2! (Patreon)
Content
Hello friends!
We hope that everyone is staying inside as much as possible, sanitize and wash hands frequently and all that good stuff! 6... feet... apart... people! We at the Normies HQ also follow CDC and WHO guidelines regarding COVID-19, as you may have read in our earlier announcement. You may have also seen some, as we like to call, "Frankenstein reactions," i.e. stitched up reactions from our homes. We hope that you find this format enjoyable!
While we truly enjoy reacting for you in any way we can, there is only so much we can do in certain circumstances. We can only equip so many people with quality cameras and audio recording, and not everyone received technical training that comes with the reaction set up. Additionally, the more video files have to be added, the more work to the editors.
For all of these reasons, there are now additional shows on the list that will be placed on hold. Currently, we are holding off reacting to Seven Deadly Sins and Parks and Recreation for reasons explained earlier.
---
Parks and Rec just ran out of backlog. The last episode we recorded was 5x4.
Seven Deadly Sin's last backlogged episode is 3x6. This week will be the last time premium members receive an episode.
To make up for the lack of reaction content, we have Tiger King and Doctor Who reactions coming your way on Thursdays now.
---
In addition to these two shows, here are more shows that will be placed on hold:
- Money Heist involves a group of 7, three of whom have no way to record at home. This week's premium episode (1x7) is the last we watched together. In the meantime, we will watch Haunting of Hill House and replace Money Heist with that reaction until we're able to return.
- Dragon Prince is facing similar situation. The entire season 1 was filmed, but beyond that point we are not clear on whether we'll be able to return to work and resume operations by then.
---
Now some good news: Navi and her sister Preeti have been watching The Promised Neverland and we'll be sharing those reactions with you guys, whether as a replacement of Dragon Prince or just a lil something extra.
As you can see we are replacing all of the shows on hold with very short shows that have in the past got frequent recommendations. As much as we'd like to watch The Office or Inuyasha, we'd not be able to then watch both of these interim shows and resume shows on hold when things go back to normal. The choices were extremely deliberate to follow what has been requested in the past and also what we can realistically film while we're on break.
According to our Hunter x Hunter poll, it seems you guys want us to continue with the show in the franken format, and so we shall!
