Gentles Voice is perfect, That posh English gentleman is exactly what the doctor ordered.

He's the most SERIOUS My Hero Villain EVER! I guess...

Cameron

I guess you didn't read their post they aren't doing any extra uploads

Philly Phil

Lowkey this arc is the weakest in terms of story impact.

PKKite

ive seen plenty love the more laid back happy arcs.

On a side note an editing quirk is literally King Crimson's power but that's Jojo and even if they start reacting to that tomorrow it would be 130 weeks or two years before that bit of trivia would matter

Pervy Sage

Gentle Criminal the lowest form of human being; a Youtuber

Deadpool

Wait do they really think My Hero Academia is for kids

What Jiro means is that her music hobbies don't help her in combat. For example, Ashido (Pinky) incorporates her dance moves into her fighting style, Sato loves to bake and cook which is what he uses to power up his quirk and Koda loves animals which is what his quirk lets him control. Jiro's quirk doesn't really help her with music unless she wants to plug her jacks into an amp or something, but that would be very uncomfortable for her when performing. Sure it's sound-related, but not music-related.

Darksteel78

I hope not, especially with Magne literally getting exploded by Overhaul...that arc was just pure body horror, Cronenberg style.

Neal Cabanos

Guys, Aoyama isn’t gay. He’s European. Cue “Gay or European” song.

Do not underestimate my boi Gentle! You will find out just how good a character he is in 2-3 more episodes!

Jose

This is a cute arc ✨

LEORIO IS AN INSPIRATION TO US ALL

I know it's weird for you guys since your used to shows (particularly shounen anime) always having this feeling of escalation. Every villain has to be stronger and darker than the next. But My Hero has never been about that. The arc cycle always alternates. We went from a villain attack at the USJ, to a pretty straight forward tournament, to the Stain arc, to another school centric training exam, to the shit with Bakugou getting kidnapped and All For One, to the light-hearted licensing exam, to the Overhaul arc, to... now. My Hero Academia has always been better at emotional stakes rather than physical. This way our students can actually have time to be kids and build character in a healthy way. Then we can see them in action afterwards.

HEROS RISING REACTION, when it comes out of course

Rashad T

This is the Cultural Festival arc.

Will Cee

😂 Nahid went from “iyoamas not gay” to “the French are know as sexually open because they slept with kids back in the day”. And he had zero transition lmaooooooo.

Bejo

I thought Heroes Rising fits into the manga’s continuity not the anime’s

Blu3rice

Wait I just realized, isn’t the dub taking a break because of the covid 19? I don’t know how long it will be postponed, but what’s gonna happen once they do catch up? (I watch sub)

What ends up killing a lot of other shonen shows is the escalation. After every arc there is this notion that you have to either raise the stakes or raise the power levels, or both. Short term that works well enough, but over several years to decade plus, your show turns into an unrecognizable mess and 99 times out of 100, the writing doesn’t hold up. DB for example, while it holds a special place in my heart, is probably the most notorious offender of this. It starts out as martial artists using a bit of superpowers into super gods flying through the air throwing energy bombs at each other.

Michael Diaz

"gourmet cooking? What kind of school is this?" A school in Japan.... also the top school for HEROES... that requires an entrance exam. Also a fictional school.

Michael Diaz

That's weird. Since they can all literally work from home. Or record a small number of actors in a studio separately at a time. ALSO Covid-19 is world wide so it'd be odd for it to effect the dub and not the sub.

Michael Diaz

You can tell they don't watch many anime prior to this. I've learned from anime that their highschools have a school festival every year. This is literally just a normal school thing to them, unlike the Sports Festival which is just catered to the Hero theme of this show. It's just so weird how much they forget these characters are also NOT in the U.S. lol

Teddy S

It's the whole Kaminari's nightvision goggles again. They're in Japan, he mentioned buying them for 50 k or something high like that and people go "Huh? That's some expensive ass goggles GODDAMN" as if a show from another country would go out of their way to exchange the currency to US dollars because it's the dub. Like hello, other countries who watch the dub because we don't know japanese either nice to meet ya.

Brian Gerald Ford

This is the best arc of the anime so far.

Not all gay people can dance, trust me I would know 😂
