Deviant Parker

The Eddie Izzard Treasure Island movie is a decent way to get a crash course on that book. It's not the best movie ever, but it's not bad. Eddie plays John Silver. Maybe react to it for Patrons?

Deviant Parker

And Pat, read Under the Black Flag (or listen). It's not 100% accurate, but it is a great starting point. There isn't a lot of information because the era was only a few decades long, so you can get through everything quickly. This show very loosely touches on real events, but most of the names are real.

Way to misinterpret Flints opening speech there Marketa :)

Joe

Haaahahaha! Suraj wins joke of the week.

Hornigold and Woodes Rogers were real people too. Rogers has a couple of books still in print. Also “A Republic of Pirates” and “A General History of Pirates” are good pirate history sources. A book unrelated to pirates but still got to mention that Luke Arnold (Silver) recently had his first novel published “The Last Smile In Sunder City”. It’s fantasy noir and a fun read.

Deviant Parker

Highly biased primary sources that can't be fully trusted, but amazing reads if you go in knowing that.

Also wanna mention that Rogers was always a villain. He came in acting all nice and polite and "Do what I want and I won't hang you". But he told both Flint and Jack that he would get as brutal as he had to and he was capable of it so I don't think this side of him is anything new. He's just showing his real face now.
