Firstly, Happy New Year! So, Vivian had blackmailed Gilthunder for the past decade, making sure he could never get close to Margaret or else she’d harm her. She had the lizard and crows as a means of keeping tabs on both to make sure they couldn’t get past her. In the manga, I’m pretty sure nearly every panel with Gilthunder shows him with crows, implying that Vivian was watching him for that long, (don’t quote me on that,but I’m pretty sure).

This anime is categorized as an ecchi, so if you notice it having a bit more sexy fanservice than other shows, thats why.

Like someone above me said. This anime has an ECCHI tag. Meaning this anime, while it is an action anime and all, it is a series that clearly is made with more fan service than usual. AKA more sexual and provocative scenes. Anime literally has tags which are basically genres and they have a whole genre dedicated to shows with fan service and that is called "Ecchi". Someone should have explained this to you all before you watched and maybe you would have taken it better. It isn't that they are trying too hard with the scenes but more so that this show is literally one of those shows that have a lot of fan service purposely and that is what gives it the Ecchi tag and it is all on purpose for fans. Real weebs that watch anime will actually accept fan service and it is something they thrive on in a way but also make a big joke of it. It isn't that majority are "horny teenagers" because most weebs are real people that act normal but it is something that they like or don't mind seeing if you know what I mean.... shit if they wanna beat their meat to animation they are gonna go to hentai majority of the time while actual anime is more for the laughs and enjoyment.
