Fringe would be an amazing replacement. Another Bad Robot show, it’s a mix of X-Files and Lost. John Noble will steal your heart and terrify you at the same time. The first season is a little rough, but by the end of it, you’ll be hooked.

"Why did the metal of the knife not bend when jacob was stabed?" Well we already know the smoke monster is immune to bullets because we've seen it get shot at unbothered in season 4. We can assume that's just a property of the smoke monster and that property carries over to when he's imitating someone. My geuss at this point was Jacob is a human and just like any human he can still be killed by things.

I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but I hope you don't use a streaming service to watch The End. Making it a two-parter instead, they cut a huge chunk (15-30 minutes) from the episode so it could be syndicated. You really need to watch the uncut episode (off the Bluray if you can).

The long con with the Smoke Monster is so intricate! Going back Eko’s death, after the monster killed him, Eko told Locke “You’re next!” Then the monster impersonating Locke to trick Richard into giving John the compass when they were moving through time and letting John know that he would have to die. Then impersonating Alex and using a grieving Ben to do anything Un-Locke said.

Eko DEFINITIVELY redeemed himself working out his issues on the Island. He said he did not regret his evil actions, he was not sorry for it, he wanted no forgiveness and understood the TRUE intent of his actions and life. He spared Yemi from becoming evil, Eko saved his brother's soul, and in that way became a REAL priest. He gave up his own goodness and soul out of love for his little bro. Who in the hell would damn themselves for another like that? Paradoxically Eko's life thus becomes justified. He owned up and took responsibility for it, and had his epiphany. The Monster presumably didn't want or need someone like that.

I think he said they had only filmed the first two parts of LA X. They haven’t filmed anymore episodes as of now. They don’t want to release episodes ahead of what they had done.

Aye, I thought that’s kinda the gist of it. Maybe if we cause some kind of internet comments section furore, we could persuade it out of him... I’ll start the ruckus, Suraj sometimes wears T-shirts that I wouldn’t wear. I’m not even sorry for saying that either. (More of this and he’ll be whimpering and begging for mercy and quelling the troubles by releasing Pt2 I tells ya!)

So, remember when "Alex" came back from the dead and told Ben to do whatever "Locke" told him? Yeah. the man in black / smokey's been doing the long con for sure. BTW, I figured out that Locke was the smoke monster all the way back in "Dead is Dead" but I was SO hoping to be wrong... :(

Walt couldn't have been the smoke monster because he was still alive at the time. He does seem to have astral projection powers, but why was he giving orders to Locke on behalf of Jacob? That's a big mystery.

So my argument for that is because Walt is "special" all the rules don't apply to him. Smokey was probably able to assume the role of Walt because of this. If Desmond can be 'special' and rules not apply to him (granted for time travel stuff), then so can Walt. It would make sense. Smokey has been trying to eliminate the candidates one by one. He tried making Jack jump off the cliff chasing his 'dad'. He made sure Ana Lucia killed Shannon by impersonating Walt and having her follow him into the bushes.
