It’s been pretty common for people to say the first episode was kind of meh to them and really get hooked by the time the first season ended. They say they are glad they stuck through the first season because the first of the show was great for them.

This might be a show some of you don’t get hooked until the first season is over. Some are hooked right away, but I have seen people say they weren’t wowed by the first half of the season, t slowly got more interested as it went along and by the end of it were interested enough to give the second season a try and were really in love with the series from there on out. If Nahid and Pat are willing to wait out a whole season they may end up liking it. It is similar to Agents of Shield in that regard.

I actually hate when people bring it up. Its so much more fun to have the pieces fall into place and then you have the realization of what the show is. At first it comes off at like a docu-drama, then the roller coaster begins. That said, I'm sure they do little bits of research on shows so it wont be long before they know.

black sails is one of my all time favorites.!! the first 4 episodes are setting up the world and characters in it. episode 5 is were it really picks up. seasons 2-4 are phenomenal!!!

I did really like the back half of season 1 and some of season 2 but i gave up on the show after season 2 so if u guys get to season 3 i might jump in and watch the reactions to see what happened.

For me this series is similar to the Expanse, where I have to drag people through the first few episodes with all its world building and character background. Once all that’s set up it does take off. It’s not the same rollercoaster ride as the Expanse, but it is one of my favorites of the past few years and I’m glad Blind Wave introduced me to it.

Blind Wave is a great introduction to the show because all the boys love it and have really good discussions about the world. Instead of complaining about the world building they kind of use it as fuel.

Black Sail in its entirety might actually be the best show I've ever seen. I'm sure someone will tell me that I'm wrong about my own opinions, but no other show has stuck in my mind as long as this one has. I can't wait to go on this journey with The Normies as they (hopefully) come to love this show as much as I do.

i love this show SO MUCH and i wish it had gotten even an ounce of the attention "epic" shows like GOT got because imo the storytelling and character work on this show is equal if not better than more well known shows like it. flint's arc alone (and Toby Stephens work) should have gotten so much more awards love than it did. season 1 is easily its weakest too so I hope if anyone has any doubts after watching the season, they stick around until season 2 at least.

Ya just rewatched it again with a friend it picks up at episode 5 this season and s2e5 is probably my favorite episode of television ever. This show is great stick it out and you won't be disappointed

I hope yall get into this show a little better than I did, I didn't enjoy this show until towards the end of Season 2... that's just me tho. And I love pirates...more than a viking or viking show. God it's slow

The show does take a bit of time to get going building the world and characters but makes up for it with great acting, action, and production value and gets better and better. It’s pretty much. Prequel to treasure island set in real events and history. Great show and I hope you guys stick with it.

Cool, I think Nahid is great, and having someone who doesn't necessarily love the show right off the bat adds a lot to the reactions, so I think he should stay.

Dont think Black Sails was the best choice, its a slow burn. You guys shouldve done Ozarks for that week to week craziness. Also you should react to iZombie. Thats a more light hearted show that is compelling as well.
