Sharingan has greater potential than the sand. Also, you can see how sasuke was able to get around gaara's defenses with only a month of training. Sharingan too op

SKIP THE INTRO FOR 78 & 79 and pick it back up for 80. For first watchers I feel that skipping it would make 80 and 81 better for y’all since the 3 main spoilers are uncovered in those two episodes. I know some say they aren’t THAT big. But I feel within 3 episodes you guys will pick up on stuff and the big reveals we enjoyed won’t be as “oh shit” to them

It says love because Garra can only love himself.

The thing with the mentors of Naruto and Gaara isn't that they're all one way. Iruka had conflicting feelings of love and hate for Naruto, but he didn't let his hate win over and decided to love. Gaara's mentor had the same feelings but choose hate instead.

Gaara’s name can mean a demon that loves only itself. The middle kanji means love and that’s what he cut into his forehead.

Not sure if you noticed but this animation in this episode is actually pretty great comparing to others. They focus on drawing good facial expression in flashback episodes.

Yeah totally agree. That’s the only bad part about this arc overall this arc is pretty good. They should have saved the hokaga vs orochimaru fight until after Naruto vs gaara.

There’s no need to skip the op next week, I just went and watched it, and it really doesn’t have any spoilers, they’ve watched other Naruto OPs that have actual spoilers and this really isn’t one of them. You guys are thinking of the SECOND version of this OP, which actually shows spoilers. And we don’t get that version until after they show certain things in the show. So we’re all clear for the OP next week. That being said, once we get to shippuden, ohhhh boy.

I like the Chunin/Invasion story better but the next one introduces two of my favorites so it's kind of a tie.

I really love how complex and human these characters are they all want to be loved and have all these human emotions that we have experienced before , thats why this show is great cause we can all relate to these characters and thats something other shows dont have or show as good as naruto. This show is a rollercoaster of emotions

Fun fact the finger that yashamaru got a cut on that has a bandage around it is the ring finger and there is a vein that leads from that finger directly to the heart , symbolizing the wound in his heart that never healed when his sister died. Also thats why its called the ring finger when you get married cause its connected to your heart. #attentiontodetail

He's not feeling the nine-tails fox's power, there's just something in him that recognizes the similarity between him and Gaara and knows he has to beat him (rejecting his philosophy on life) and refuses to lose

The Kanji on Gaara's forehead is read as "Ai" which in Japanese means love/affection
