Hello everyone!

Our August book-club title will be a little different - We'll dive into our first manga experience with Attack on Titan! 

Please know that we will be reading up to chapter 90 to avoid spoilers for the show. We might stumble upon some information along the way that the show did not reveal, but there shouldn't be any major spoilers up to that chapter. If you don't want to get spoiled on the show AT ALL, I'd recommend you sit this one out. For everyone else who is excited to share this experience with us, happy reading!

An announcement will be posted later in August about date and time for our monthly live-streamed book-club discussion :)

This is a great idea. There's a lot from the first half Season 3 that was completely removed, so with this, you'll get the full experience.

You guys should do the Dragon Ball Super manga if this becomes an on and off thing. There’s a lot of differences between the manga and anime

Fun thing about the Attack on Titan anime is that it follows the manga almost perfectly (with very minor differences, like Hange's gender being ambiguous in the manga). Really hope you guys do more manga (mangas?) in the future!

It's not really a spoiler if no one knows what it means, like Jojo openings have spoilers that you don't know are spoilers until you make it to that point in the story.

well if you're gonna do Manga, may as well put One Piece in that list. there's a reason why it's the highest selling comic book (let's not argue on semantics) in recent history, alongside the likes of Spider-Man, Batman and Superman. it's A LOT more bearable to deal with than the anime. give it at least 14-15 volumes, around the "Hiruluk's Sakura" part and if you're not feeling the emotions then, i won't blame you if you drop it. as a companion piece, if you like what you see in the printed pages, and found some favourite scenes in it, you could react to it's anime counterpart. it'll save you the time, really.

One piece manga is godly yes the anime has horrible pacing but it's a n adventure anime filler is supposed to be watched it's a world building experience

You guys should take berserk off the anime reaction poll and consider reading it's manga, the art is so amazing and the story is one of a kind
