Season 3 first for sure

L

Watch the movie after the second season!!!! It is a canon movie and it is supposed to be right between season 2 and 3!!! Can't wait for the reaction to it!!!!

ManicMeeks

watch the movie first....then season 3. the movie is canon!

scottrager

lol if you poll us I hope you honor the results this time. No we didn't forget.

scottrager

it's more accurate to say that the movie assumes you've already watched most of season 3. I'd still say watch the movie when the show literally tells you to, but yeah.

scottrager

Season 3 first. Theres an episode in the second half of season 3 that literally tells you to watch the movie Normies.

Yassine Biggie

i would say sure but they will get spoiled about someone major's design because the movie came out after that person appeared in season 3

Phyllis

Even tho the movie is set between Season 2 & Season 3 (before the training camp) there is a Season 3 spoiler in the movie. I suggest watching Season 3 first.

Ji-pi Doyon

Midorya and Bakugo...of A1, they have with Momo the 2 most versatile quirk ever...if they could be a team, they would be invincible !!

Anonymous

watch season 3 first!

Diego

make sure you skip episode 1 of season 3 its mostly filler and a pointless episode

Anonymous

Watching the movie first would massively lessen the impact of some stuff in season 3 imo.

Robert

It’s not a filler or recap episode tho so why tell them to skip lol ... people said the same about the froppy episode and the norms still enjoyed it

CuteAdorableDog

watch season 3 then check out the movie

Tev Overhaul

Watch movie , after season 3 episode 12 !

CuteAdorableDog

do it just like the rest of us and id wait to finish the season first just so that you dont just stop during the middle of an arc in season 3 to watch the movie

The Ultimate Ed

I don't wanna spoil anything but if you're looking for a super complex backstory for Bakugou, you're likely not gonna get it. Kacchan and Deku are kinda meant to come off as kids from a fairly normal background. They aren't like Shoto who has grown up in an extremely dark environment. Deku was a nerd who was bullied. Kacchan was your typical jock. We get plenty of moments showing WHY they're the way they are but nothing super dramatic. Kacchan is a dick because he's been praised all his life and it went to his head. That happens a lot in real life.

Deadpool

I’m sorry if I trigger anyone but I personally believe that Bakugo will be the number 1 hero

TM Romance

Watch the movie AFTER Season 3 because the movie spoils a char design. If you don't care about that, then go right ahead, cuz that's the only thing it spoils. lol Timeline-wise, it takes place after S2 and before S3.

Hunni

Oh really? I don't recall the spoiler tbh but I've only seen it once... I wanted them to watch the movie after this but if there's a spoiler I suppose it can wait. I just don't recall anything they haven't revealed already by now.

Silvermoon

I have a theory he will be too and then deku will take the spot after

Silvermoon

Bakugous and dekus relationship is the most important in the show after deku and all might. They’re like two sides of the same coin and I think they might be a duo in the far future

Zeke

I think it's more accurate to say that Bakugo is someone who is being crushed by expectations and struggles to overcome this. I wouldn't say it went to his head because he doesn't actually believe he's the best at all. If he did, he wouldn't obsess over proving his superiority. I agree with how normal Deku and Bakugo are tho when it comes to backstory.

Ji-pi Doyon

Being the 2 most versatile quirk of the group with Momo, i believe pushing them to the max is the best option...he went far but they have great battle instinct so they would have survived anyway...Relationship was their only real weakness and he worked on it...so in the end it's only a win !

Ji-pi Doyon

Season 3 first...small spoiler in the movie and it kills the flow...Also season 3 is just crazy good so...

Bakugo's gauntlets allow him to store up his explosive sweat, and shoot them like he would with his large shots, but with the plus of not straining his arms. Other than the blow back.

John FD Lobrano

The thing about Bakugou is that his relationship with Deku has ALWAYS been one-sided. There was never a point where they saw each other as equals. Deku only continued to follow him around because he was the strongest and most amazing kid in town due to his quirk and determination. The only reason he started to actually hate Deku is when he fell into that river after they were all playing follow the leader, and Deku tried to help him out. Bakugou's ego is huge, but also extremely fragile, as he thought Deku was only helping him out of pity, since literally everyone else in their neighborhood overpraised him to the point that he's untouchable, and doesn't NEED help. And vice versa. So naturally, when Deku got One For All, that only made Bakugou's inferiority complex get even MORE out of whack, as he saw Deku was lying to him ever since they were kids. Like he's just been making a fool out of him for years. This doesn't mean everything he did was justified, but you need to understand is that Bakugou's reasoning is very simple. Heroes are strong, and they always win. That's all Bakugou really cares for. And his whole arc is him coming to terms that that's not the case, so he can better himself into the man he WANTS to be.

I think Bakugou makes a lot of sense if people give him a chance.

Tejan J Salaam

Also i know Bakugo is sort of an ass, but I don't see why nobody ever sees his pov. Why is it that he has to want to be friends with Midoriya as a kid? Just because someone looks up to you doesn't mean you have to like them. In a lot of the flashbacks Bakugo tries to get away from him but Midoriya just keeps following him eve after Bakugo either says I don't like you or pushes him. I would be annoyed too if I was Bakugo if this kid I don't like always followed me everywhere.

L

Deku DID NOT start liking All Might because of Bakugo. I don't understand why you would think that but they even showed that when he was young he loved watching the video of All Might saving people. Deku just admired Bakugo because of how he was. Also they gave an "origin" in a way because this episode explains his background and why he is so determined with winning. You guys need to pay attention more.

Tejan J Salaam

Not saying he's right for bullying him, or Midoriya sucks just saying see it from both sides.

Justin Jefferson

Lmao how long has Bakugo been bullying and bitch slapping Deku around like 6+ years but its ok because hes a cool dude and really smart with a complex backstory lol.

Niko

When My Hero academia calls an episode "Origin: x" i think they dont mean the characters origin story. Rather it refers to the origin of them as a hero, so more of a character development episode. For example in Shotos episode i dont think the point was to show his backstory but rather him accepting his fire powers in order to become a hero

coffeemilk

Watch the movie after the episode that tells you to go watch the movie.

Jjj.

the jap dialogue for this episode is so much dope. Kachan when he is talking about how OP all might is, says something like "he is the highest wall in the world" and at the end when all might is talking about deku, he says "there's no wall that you cant climb" or something like that. Trust me, is dope

Karthig

Like micky said. He bodied deku against the bus. Also it was scary and dope when all might said your teacher is going to try his best now.

I wish we could get Season 3 SUBS since the voicing acting is amazing, but the dubbed is good too.

Alex

So I don't know if this has been covered already, but I recently learned that "plus ultra" isn't just a weird English (really Latin) phrase that the anime threw in to sound cool as anime sometimes does, but it's actually a legitimate Latin phrase that happens to be the motto of Spain.

Gonna have to disagree with the notion that this show has good writing. I would argue that it’s one of the only weak points in the show.

The Pebble

Nahid is such a simpleton. Lacks any understanding of other people. People who act angry and rude are usually that way for a true reason deep in their heart. You shouldn't be so quick to be upset by one's words, try to look past them. Getting angry at someone for being angry just perpetuates that cycle, only through understanding, not even acceptance but simply understanding can change your mindset, and maybe even the others and break that negative cycle. I know this is just anime but whether it's fictional characters or real people, what I said holds true.

Varun Narayanswamy

In what way? Personally, I think their story telling is pretty good, though I sometimes do feel that is jumps around a lot and events seem to just happen out of nowhere.

The clapper of all cheeks

They both look up to all might that’s why bakugo envy’s Deku because he has his powers and realizes Deku will eventually become as strong as all might

Just lettin yall know, the Japanese school year isn't the same as America. The school year in Japan starts in the Spring, and they usually get a week or two off for a summer break. So we are very much still in year 1 even after the summer trip lol. Even the manga is barely getting to the end of year 1 rn

Brook

Season 2 really cemented Bakugo as my favorite character. He's still such a volatile, little jerk, but he's SO focused on being a hero that even in something so simple as a final exam he's willing to completely destroy himself to prove himself.

Anonymous

Loved everything about this but one small thingit’s not the end of the school year because in Japan their summer break is like our winter break.

Zeke

When has anyone said that? Stop making up your own narrative. No one has ever made an excuse for him bullying Deku, people just like him for being a well written character.

Zeke

He also says how Bakugo smiles at a towering wall as well. It's meant to strengthen that parallel between them. They are the same character with same goals but just with opposite approaches to it.

Zeke

You got it wrong and backwards, bud. Bakugo is not envious of Deku, it's the other way around and Bakugo doesn't want his quirk or think that. He doesn't want to be as strong as All Might he wants to be greater. Being like All Might is Deku's thing, All Might is his ceiling but Bakugo can look past All Might onto what could be.

Gabriel Moreira

The thing is, Bakugou and Deku both admire and want to be like All Might, but Deku thinks that heros must save someone no matter what, even destroying himself in the process, he only think aboult the "save everyone" part, and thats wrong. As they say ALL THE TIME, to be the number one hero like All Might, you need to WANT TO WIN AND BE BETTER THEN THE OTHERS. Bakugo thinks that the important thing is win, because All Might always wins, no matter the situation, but thats the main reason bakugou is how he is, to him, beeing the nº 1 means he needs to be better than anyone and this means he cant need help from anyone, he needs to ALWAYS WIN with no help, just like All Might, and thats is wrong too, cause there is no point to win if you cant save people too. They both wants to be like him, but with diferent ways to approach.

Seth Tolar

And the reason Bakugou seems to hate deku is because he thinks Deku looks down on him. He thinks because Deku tried to save him as a kid and later on in season 1 that Deku was looking down on him. He doesn't have a superiority complex he has an inferiority complex. He thinks because Deku tries to give him strategies when they work together or tries to save him he thinks deku is implying he's not good enough. Also, his parents aren't the ones who made him like this he did it himself. Can't wait until you meet his mom lol

With season 3 closing in, the first half of the season should be binged and released in one massive drop.

Erich Bomke

To this day I still picture the school needing a guidance counselor where you could report a student for villainy. Just like bullying in our real world.
