Nahid, bro... come on ... In the whole manga, Rock Lee is probably the most japanese (at least East asian) character ever. I mean... Hardcore training, complete respect and trust for his sensei, the clothing, his facial design who reminds me a lot of the japanese style of painting... nothing american there ^^'

Btw Rock Lee is not american, he's just drawn weird as the author of the manga liked the look for him. And Might Guy is spelled Gai in japanese, they changed it for some weird reason in the translation. It's just a funny way to draw him. And he was based on Bruce Lee. But I get where you come from and if it pleases you to see Rock Lee as american, so be it ;)

However, the reason people move their arms while running is because it counters the motion of your legs, causing a higher motor circuit making you run faster. You can check a study done by: Dr. R. Fun fact: The Naruto run (running with arms straight back) was done because doing that was easier than having to draw the arms moving as the characters ran. Another fun fact: It's completely true that you are not consciously able to use 100% of your muscle strength without training. You can see people finding that strength through adrenaline rushes, as well (like a mother lifting something heavy as fuck to save her kid).

Lol why is Nahid so difficult? I've just gone through the comments with a bunch of people saying he's not American yet Nahid can't admit when he's wrong. Yes Bruce Lee was born in America, but hes kinda known as that Asain guy in martial arts movies.

In fairness, Bruce Lee held dual citizenship and lived and worked here plenty of his life too. I don't think he'd much appreciate people saying he "doesn't count as American" or dismissing him as "that Asian guy" even if he did identify more strongly with his Asian heritage and citizenship.
