This episode is always filled with suspense when they are pursuing them. The lack of music is intense. Always makes it that much more scary.

One of the main reason why Killua gave up is because he was scared as fuck. That's what his brother, Illumi, taught him: to run when you know your opponent is superior. Since he can't run at this moment, he gave up. Maybe he took some consideration of Gon, but that's just not it.
