Goku was always selfish when it comes to fights. The Dub of Z made Goku look much more heroic than he was, in actuality he was much more selfish. Don't forget how many times he has let villains recover, get away, or power up to their maximum. He gave Cell a Senzu Bean against Gohan for example. He isn't a typical Superhero. He's a fighter.

Exactly. I understand most people grew up on the Z dub, but he's not a superhero at all. Even when he changed into a Super Saiyan against Frieza, it wasn't for some noble reason like protecting the Earth and defeating the "evil" Frieza (which is how the dub made it look), it was simply Goku raging out at Frieza for killing Krillin; it was purely a battle of revenge for Goku (well until he very end where he regained enough of his sense to try and spare Frieza, but even then that was a dumb decision), he didn't care about protecting anything at that point. Which is the whole point of that transformation - he unlocked it through pure rage.

Goku has always been selfish and fight addicted. I love the english dub, but the Z dub changed his character a lot. This goku in Super is the japanese goku. As someone pointed out above, super saiyan was not about being a hero in the original material, it was about him raging out at krillen's death. He let Vegeta go cause he wanted to fight him again, he healed cell, he did not go all out against Fat Buu(even though he could have killed fat buu in SSJ3). He has always been a simple selfish fight addicted genius combatant. The dub made him into superman. I have a lot of nostalgia for the dub, but this goku in super is the real goku.

You guys need to get Zeno was already gonna destroy all the lower mortal lvl universes but now since goku made this tournament he gives his universe and all the other lower mortal lvl universes a chance to live so stop calling him the villain he is technically saving a universe

All it does if give goku more people to whoop ass..this battle royale will be way better than fortnite lol plus Goku isn't a villain dont ne dissing the boy...wheres the faith lol hes always wanted a challenge...and the more griefing he does the more challenges he gets
