Hello Fellow Readers!

Happy New Year and hope you had great holidays!

If you started or thinking about starting a resolution this year to read more book then how about joining NerdyNavi Book Club? We read one book a month and do a live discussion end of each month.

For January, I (Navi) will be reading A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab. It is first book of Shades of Magic series.  It is fantasy/science fiction. Depending on how the first book turns out, I might continue with the series. I am adding the summary of the book below. Hope you might take a chance and read this with me. If you have any recommendations for a book then
please comment below because I would love to know! :)

Happy Reading!

Summary: "Kell is one of the last Antarimagicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel Londons; Red, Grey, White, and, once upon a time, Black.

Kell was raised in ArnesRed Londonand officially serves the Maresh Empire as an ambassador, traveling between the frequent bloody regime changes in White London and the court of George III in the dullest of Londons, the one without any magic left to see.

Unofficially, Kell is a smuggler, servicing people willing to pay for even the smallest glimpses of a world they'll never see. It's a defiant hobby with dangerous consequences, which Kell is now seeing firsthand.

After an exchange goes awry, Kell escapes to Grey London and runs into Delilah Bard, a cut-purse with lofty aspirations. She first robs him, then saves him from a deadly enemy, and finally forces Kell to spirit her to another world for a proper adventure.

Now perilous magic is afoot, and treachery lurks at every turn. To save all of the worlds, they'll first need to stay alive."

This is a great series. The first book is maybe my least favorite. It has a strange pace with nothing really happening plotwise until way later in the book. It makes sense in the context of the story and the characters, but it's a slow read if you don't known that going in.

I just bought this book! I hope I can make it for the discussion.
