I love that scene when she reflects the bullet. When Chris said Daisy's powers can't be that strong a few episodes ago I immediately thought of this scene. Love this episode.

Can't argue with Chris's criticism about how "new SHIELD" and HYDRA appear to be very similar arcs. Without going in to spoiler territory it really is just a means to an end to set up and resolve future conflicts and is definitely one of the weaker parts of the SHIELD storyline. However, what I will say is that it is very easy to view new SHIELD from our lens but we need to remember that from the outside "our" SHIELD does seem very shady and would look like a rogue organisation. I mean, think about Coulson's story so far and the ramifications of HYDRAs infiltration - can we honestly say that we wouldn't be suspicious?

Kelly Parks

I get what you're saying about Gonzales, but keep in mind how freaked out people in this world are by anything associated with "alien". (Earth was invaded by aliens just a few years ago to them). So they didn't reach out to Coulson because he was *literally* raised from the dead with alien DNA. So they do not trust him.

Christopher simeon

Chris and nahid you guys are correct in saying “real shield” motivation are weak but like rana said if you don’t trust someone you wouldn’t just have a conversation because you wouldn’t believe anything they said. If your a spy then you gather intel which Mac and Bobby did. They saw coulson doing things with alien writing that lead them to a alien city that killed an agent and gave the other Destructive power. What are they suppose to think. that he isn’t corrupted. Chris it’s okay to point things out that don’t make sense to you but what we don’t want is for you to assume shield wont give you an answer. :)

Lol. Nahid your fly is open.

You guys need to do a little bit of critical thinking about the history of the MCU, and how at this time, the word "Alien" meant basically ISIS to most people, thats how bad it was to them. So thinking that Coulson was resurrected with Alien DNA, and all the secrecy behind that, the "real shield" doesn't believe a word of what Coulson is saying because they don't believe its really him. I'll stop there so i don't get into spoilery stuff, but i am loving the reactions, thanks!

I absolutely love how excited Rana gets in this. I feel much less alone in this world. :-) Thank you for doing these videos!

Ashgar77

Shield is like any agency. You tend to question a Captain taking over the entire agency when there's still several people higher up than him around. Nobody else knew what Fury told him or that Fury is even alive.

Kim Carragher

Brilliant reaction! Yeah, Chris I am surprised no one was gravely injured from Skye's attack, however I think its because of the different vibrations. The human body could withstand the blast because it isn't as rigid, but the trees snapped - it couldn't bend so it broke, in a way. But it also could have been simply because it looked cool and you don't want blood on her hands (even if it is an accident).

Mike Drop

Rana is 200% into this. Love her reactions

Neil Prospect

It wasn't just that Could on was Fury's heir. They didn't talk to him because they felt he was compromised by the alien blood. With the alien blood and Fury's toolbox he was a threat and couldn't be trusted. Approaching him directly risks having Fury's alien powered army being unleashed on them.

James Avery

She’s not gonna be ready for seasons four and five #nospoilers

Sean Barbante

Kirk Acevedo, who plays Agent Calderon (the one that tried to shoot Skye), will always be Miguel Alvarez from the HBO show, Oz.

Mten10th

Nahid, if you would actually listen to what Rana is saying. She's not saying they have the right to do what they did, she's saying the reason they did what they did.

Hey guys, loved the reaction and the discussion too. I like the fact that they demonstrated that Coulson really, really tried to find as many SHIELD Agents as possible when he became Director and that he spent months searching for some of the "Other Shield" agents, he didn’t forget them, he didn’t just took the people that came to him, he actively set out to find the people true to SHIELD.   But I must admit in “other SHIELD” defense I feel like the fall of Fury’s SHIELD was a much more traumatic experience to them than it was to our team, our team was mostly on the bus and only interacted with each other, I mean it was still disheartening to know that the agency they dedicated their whole lives to was gangrened by nazi agents, and of course there was Ward betrayal, but that was 1 agent, and nobody from their team died, but for someone like Mack he was working with dozens of SHIELD agents and most of the ones that weren't Hydra died at their hands, so it can be understandable from their point of view to not repeat the mistakes of the past, Fury was so worried about threats from outer space and gaining more power he didn't see his organization was infected by Hydra.   For them Coulson is continuing in Fury’s path, worst even as far as they are concerned he isn’t even Coulson anymore, as in his decisions might not even be his own, Mack and Bobbi were implanted to see how far he had gone but really the reason they went the "coup" route was because of Fury's toolbox nobody, not even May knows what's in it and they fear what's in it, as Robert Gonzalez said they believe Fury hid things from even the World Council, I mean Fury’s secrets got secrets, and “Other SHIELD” is afraid of what compromised-Coulson could do with those hidden resources and powered people.   The "other SHIELD" beef is exclusively with Coulson their feelings for the rest of the team are genuine, Mack was really concerned about nobody getting hurt during the operation, specially Fitz, and he proved it by saving his life. But Coulson? They don't trust him at all that's why they never even set up a meeting or something, that's how deep their distrust of him goes.   Jemma subterfuge with Bobbi was brilliantly acted, Jemma came a long way in terms of her lying skills, I guess there is nothing like an internship at Hydra to develop being double faced.   Again it's really all about perspective, the other SHIELD don't know Coulson as personally as we do, all they know are the facts and the consequence of the decisions he made as Director, that’s the basis of their judgment and some of the choice Coulson made may appear questionable but for us who spend most of our time with him and the team we know that the few bad decisions he made he made for a good reason, or at least good intentions.   The irony is “Other SHIELD” think Coulson been compromised because he was injected with Alien DNA when really, the objectively bad decisions Coulson made he did because he was thinking emotionally, which is a very HUMAN thing to do.   As long as Coulson got May he gonna be alright, she's the "we got a Hulk" of the team, and she is so incredibly loyal: "Without you there is no SHIELD, also... find *our daughter*"   Bobbi said to the agents "ICERs only” and nobody listened, both the random agent and Agent Calderon attacked Skye with the intention to kill not capture, they deserve what they got, glad Bobbi is alright though.   I’m happy Chris got to see how impressive Skye's powers are after that quip a few weeks ago.   To be honest I never really liked Hunter, but that last scene with Coulson, that was the moment Hunter started growing on me. Again great reaction guys, I know it might be wishful thinking but any chance for a double drop this week? (Sorry for the length of this people!)

No hate here. "Real Shield" caused nothing but eye rolls from me. Decent as this season has been, Shield still hasn't hit its stride yet.

Tommy Drevland

at 15:39 when all of you guys tip your head 45% at the same time, i just cant watch it without laughing xD probably just me

Rufus May

Regarding the alien blood, 'real' SHIELD does have a point. The alien blood drove almost everyone who got it insane, including Coulson to an extent, it's reasonable to be suspicious of it.

i agree with you guys on most points about "real SHIELD". For me that storyline always seemed a bit senseless. I mean i see where they are coming from and why they may have trust issues with Coulson but they never reached out and even more importantly, if they are the "real" Shield why didnt they do shit against Hydra? If it wasn't for Coulson and his team Hydra would have spread even more around the world and could have used the obelisk to cause mass destruction and millions (if not more) of dead people. Where was Gonzales and his team when that whole thing was going on? They were so focused on Coulson that they forgot about the real threat, so they are basically unqualified to even call themselves Shield because they clearly weren't there as the Shield for the people against Whitehall and Hydra. To see Coulson as the enemy is just madness imo.

Linsey Morris

this was an incredibly frustrating time watching the show for me, not gonna lie lol but thankfully the skye stuff is super interesting so i could suffer through the real shield stuff. so you're not gonna get any hate from me, chris, you're taking it the exact same way i did. people talk a lot about how s1 is weak and hard to trudge through but i personally think this particular storyline in s2 (real shield) is weaker than that.

I love this show and...I’m a Rana stan now!!!

Eric M

Lol, Rana's face. She is so into the show! It's amazing to watch.

Nahid. Bro. Check your fly.

Kelly Parks

Chris, you're right to wonder about Ward's goal. All will be revealed.

Kamina 1

Chris looks so checked out throughout the whole ep. I pray he doesn't follow Marketa's lead with dropping the show. I feel like that's where we are heading...

Linsey Morris

she didn't drop it bc she wasn't enjoying it she dropped it bc people were being annoying and criticizing her for not being enthusiastic enough in her reactions

Aes86

The actor that played the other agent who shot at Skye plays a villain on Arrow but I will always know him as Joe Toy in Band of Brothers, which if you haven't seen, is the greatest tv series ever made. 10 episodes.
