FMAB is up! We're approaching the finish line of the series! Here we get to witness a showdown between Pride and the rest of the gang! A few characters make a return I believe (or was that the next episode?) These binges all bleed together for me but regardless I'm super excited for Navi to come back so we can finish the series!

p.s. Korra will be up in a half hour or so!

Lan Fan's return was so epic! Also Navi, I believe you're talking about Shikamaru.

Jonathan baez

I think it was established that when Mr. Ho decided to look for the way to get his mortality back, he discovered that something was up with Amestris and what "Father" somewhat is planing so that's why he left.

I’m sure it will be said multiple times but that wasn’t actually what Grumman’s was thinking then - it’s what Miles was believing he might be thinking. It’s edited a little awkward and the dialogue isn’t quite clear enough. Miles just knows Grumman’s is cagey and ambitious and is wondering if he’s gonna try to make a move if things go south

Ho discovered what Father was doing, and realized that he might be the only one in the world who could stop it, since he has the ability to plant souls(stones) in the ground. He basically came up with a big masterplan to stop Father once and for all.

Pianko asked ed to give Hoenheim the "message" on episode 20. Ed replies "after i clock him in the face" XD

An emissary is an official messenger or representative, not an enemy. "Emissary of Darkness" would be a messenger from/representative of the darkness, i.e. Pride.

I'm pretty sure that was just Miles thoughts of what Grumman was thinking also something not mentioned in the anime he's actually Hawkeyes grandfather

Danny Hulliung

I think what that scene was trying to show is how intelligent Miles really is. There's evidence to support this involving Grumman later on, but I'd rather not spoil. Its definitely possible that Miles figured out what Grumman's plan was right then and there. People seem to underestimate his tactical abilities for some reason.

In Family Portrait, Hohenheim wanted to grow old with his family so he was researching ways to do that. While on his research, he realized that Father was trying to repeat his old scheme and sacrifice Amestris. He left his family to save Amestris. Trisha knew everything when she married him. And she knew why he left; one to find a way to grow old together (that’s why they had made the promise), and to save Amestris.

General Grumman is actually Hawkeye’s maternal grandfather. He wasn’t actually thinking about betraying Armstrong and Mustang, it’s what Miles was thinking.

Shikamaru manipulates shadows Navi. At least it assumed that the whole Nara clan will used shadows because of the Ino-shika-cho formation.

I think Hohenheim's fire poofed because it was a gas lantern. Ed targeted light emitting sources with his alchemy. He fried the electric lines and messed up current gas/petrol being used. So his alchemy maybe changed the chemical balance of the gas so it was ineffective. Thus the fire went "poof".
