Hey all! I'm currently in Rome roaming around having an adventure. Not unlike Meelo, Ikki and Jinora!  Give me all your good vibes! :D  I'm very happy Ikki got some much needed development in this episode! It was fun seeing another air bending adventure as well as witnessing Korra dissect how the villains of her past have affected her. This season feels a bit like a prologue to the entire series and that's okay with me I am loving it. Seeing Toph meet Twinkle Toe's grand kids was a sight to behold!

Some friendships are so strong they can even transcend lifetimes! I love how Toph treats Korra just as if it were her friend she grew up with and trained so long ago :)

One interesting thing to note is that every time Dark Korra has shown up thus far, she basically chains herself to Korra, which IMO visually represented Korra's inability to cope with what happened. So it makes sense here that some part of her would still hold onto that metal poison, and as we saw with her PTSD flashes with all her past enemies, it's indeed as Toph said last episode. Some part of her doesn't want to be the Avatar, because she doesn't want to get hurt again. Korra was disconnected from the world and her loved ones, so it was nice to see her finally reconnect with some loved ones in the area. The airbabies!! Speaking of which, I thought "Reunion with the Airbabies 2.0" was such a great callback to S1 except with a few differences this time: <a href="http://bumblesbounce.tumblr.com/post/100834683719/cainora-i-dont-know-if-they-animated-korras" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://bumblesbounce.tumblr.com/post/100834683719/cainora-i-dont-know-if-they-animated-korras</a> Jeremy Zuckerman as usual is amazing when it comes to the soundtracks! Very fitting to call that OST when Korra was taking out the poison "To Heal". Also, that ending with some of the original ATLA theme mixed in as Toph walked away was just perfection &lt;3

I think the thumbnail was in regards to the next episode, Enemy at the Gates. Probably showed Kuvira's army outside of Zaofu.

You know what's funny. I love blindwaves reactions the most because they get the intricacies and analyze more.... But when it comes to the Normies I love how emotional their reactions are. They pure joy and hype they have in watching it. Especially Rana.

Why keep the poison? The same reason why we don't just toss toxic waste away - to stop it from ending up someplace else.

One of the interesting facts about the Avatar universe is that because the Avatar is not only an all-powerful spirit that never dies, it is essential for the Avatar to be a human being as well so that he or she can experience what fear, sadness, anger, joy, and happiness is. The avatar must go through all these emotions in order to understand how precious human life is so that the avatar could do anything to protect it against all odds. If the Avatar would be just a spirit, in this case Raava, it wouldn't have anything in common with a human being. As for Korra's situation, she really needed to go through and understand what fear and sadness felt like in order to protect not only her love ones, but people from all nations. This is one of many reasons why I adore Aang's and Korra's series because it really correlates to our world problems.

I saw that too. but also that she is not going to be able to get rid of her "dark self" we can't run away from ourselves and our past problems. we have to face them head on and use your demons to guide you, not chain you down

I'm not sure, but I think Korra was doing Tai Chi poses when she was bending out the poison. Those are breathing exercises (again I'm not sure, maybe Yoga teaches the exact same thing).

Yup, it was Tai Chi. Waterbending in general is based on Tai Chi, I'm guessing she used her metalbending in a similar way since the poisen was liquid.

I didn't notice how much Tenzins kids are like Aang. Milo less so, but the way Ginora gets annoyed about people talking during meditation and her sense of responsibility is very book 3 Aangish. Iki's fast talking is also a lot like Aang when he lays out a list of lit stuff to do when they started the journey, or when he asks Katara penguin sledding. Also, the way she casually takes her arms out of the ropes showing that she's not really captured was just like Aang talking to the earth king when he just removes the earth hands from his wrists and puts it back :')

Toph is connected to the world data base her seismic senses are enhanced to the degree she can sense where everyone is at. toph is keeping tabs on her daughters from across the map........

Aang DID do the same thing Korra did BUT it was to find Appa and Momo. Katara and Sokka were there with Aang when he did that.
