Rana is so into this its hilarious to watch. She was so on point about it being Skye's mother - like before it was even confirmed by the show, she just saw Cal move towards a body and put it all together. Dont worry guys, all the answers you're looking for will come in time, be patient. And yeah, Whitehall harvested her organs and placed them in his own body. Brilliant reaction! Can't wait for the mid-season finale.

This reaction was AMAZING, every bit of it, especially to the Ward bit. Till this day I keep asking myself how I keep going from loving this guy to hating him and back. Ughhh. Marketa misses the one where they explain that Skye's father going to Hydra wasn't just a stupid, do it for no reason, bad thing plot point. There WAS a reason all along, the audience just doesn't know it yet. In fact, there are lots of things that have been said, phrases used that eventually make perfect sense. Remember when Whitehall said to Raina, that he once operated on someone on and off for a week? Well, here you go. Have to add; GO RANA!!!! Another Edit: This episode is the epitome of AOS setting up like a game of chess. All season long the pieces have been moving out onto the board. Characters / plots / ideas being planted. No one has the full picture, NO ONE. and then all the pieces start coming together and you huge payoffs like this. "So much happened", exactly and if you rewatch some day, it was all planned and foreshadowed from the first episode of the season.

Amazing reaction fam, favorite one so far for real! Rana was so on point on everything lol   So @Rana? Still team Ward??   That edit of Whitehall aging was so well done.   You seemed to have missed it but Skye's father said to Coulson that HYDRA didn't know about the city, he told them about it and then he had the same idea as Coulson of mapping the earth so that’s how he ended up there.   Yeah, Skye's mixed raced, Caucasian Dad and Asian mom which is funny cause she found surrogate parents who are the same thing (Coulson and May)   Also at some point during your conversation there seem to be some confusion, Ward is the one who murdered his brother and his parents, he then used Christian's confession about forcing Grant to torture Thomas at The Well to make it seems like Christian murdered their parents then committed suicide, he is an evil murderous traitor genius, also, those were the only bodies they found in the wreckage of the house, just 3.   I'm kind of sad Marketa wasn't with you on this reaction cause I wanted to see her get vindication for what she thought about Ward all along, but I also wanted her to see that contrary to what she thought Skye's dad wasn't making a dumb or emotional decision when he went to Whitehall after seeing Skye was so close to Coulson, it was a very calculated move, he may hate SHIELD for taking his daughter from him, but it's nothing compared to the burning hatred he has for Whitehall, I mean that look he gave him at the end was chilling. Again, BEST REACTION EVER! Pleeease start doing double drops, please

Skye's mom is mostly known as one of the main characters from Joss Whedon's "Dollhouse", she was also more recently on Altered Carbon and had a few episode runs on The 100, The Last Ship and Shameless.

Did you notice the that person who got Whitehall released from prison was Alexander Pierce? (Robert Redford's character from Winter Soldier)

As a note, moving forward each half season of Shield is like a Netflix season, so whatever major story line they are following will get them to the midseason finale, and the events of that will create a new storyline for the second half of the season. It's absolutely genius, and really helps minimize filler episodes. This is why you find out so much about the villains each episode instead of having a main villain that keeps disappearing for 5-10 episodes (I'm looking at you Flash!).

I miss having Marketa this week. I do love her level of commitement in how honest she is about her different opinions about plot characters etc... in the moment. Her and Patt. but Patt will be out a couple of weeks.

I love the style of humour in this show. On anything else, "SkyFather" calling Coulson "Phil" would have led to some big confrontation later on. "I never told you my name." "Sure you did." "NO...I didn't." Here, it's just glossed over with a calm "Oops, probably shouldn't have said that."

I wasn't a fan of having Ward's brother admit to doing the well thing. I think it is much more interesting as an ambiguous thing.

Lighting is perfect for the scene near the end when Whitehall, Ward and Sky’s dad meet, all of their faces are only lit on one side signifying that all of them are hiding things from the others. It may be a little too on the nose but I still dig it.

This one had a real sneaky Winter Soldier reference; When they were letting old man Whitehall out of prison, they said Undersecretary Pierce arranged for his release... Undersecretary Pierce was Robert Redford's character in Winter Soldier, and we all know he was HYDRA for sure.\
