Just a heads up, some of the episodes in this season were animated by a different studio (Studio Pierrot), that's why it looks off. No worries though, the best episodes were animated by the original studio

The reason the animation looked off was because episodes 1 to 6 (and 9) were animated by a different studio. The original studio returned for the other episodes though.

I personally feel some of studio pierrot's action scenes are great. What bugs me the most are their stand-in scenes where everyone just look off. Imo :)

Varrick is absolutely the best thing about Season 2. He lights up and elevates every single scene he's in.

It’s kind of the general consensus that Book 2 is the weakest season. Some of the writing gets wonky, but there are some really great moments not to be missed, such as a particular two episode arc.

I'm glad that you guys see the point Unalaq makes though. Tenzin is a bit too stubborn and prideful here to acknowledge that there are things he doesn't know and could learn from Unalaq. Most people immediately hate Korra for choosing her uncle, but we shouldn't forget that a) he has a point about the spirit stuff, which is what Korra is extremely lacking at and b) he is her uncle

Sigh...I'm looking forward to season 3. Season 2 isn't bad, it's just..well..not amazing, to say the least. Varrick is amazing though.

From episode 1 - 6 is animated by a different studio, the same studio animated Naruto. The other half of the season the old studio came back which is the better animation for me. Anyways enjoy season 2 kinda started slow but will pick up very fast.

Also yes it’s kinda a thing to have a hard K sound in the water tribe names Katara, Korra, Unalaq, Tarlak, Noatak, Sokka just like the Targaryens with their unique names.

Season 2 is GREAT...dont doubt this. I honestly think this season is a victim of being a 14 episode season instead of 20 like avatar. The 1st five episodes Book 2 of avatar are some of the weakest but every forgets that because the rest of the episodes were epic af. This season is the same. episodes like the swamp or avatar day weren't weak but no one thinks they are better than boiling rock or avatar n the firelord. They became victims of the success of later greatness. Season 2 of Korra isn't weak it's GREAT the finale is as good as any. Ppl just love to hate it. For example, Blind wave said later episodes of the season "made up" for the episodes at the beginning of the season. But I was doing a little rewatch of their reactions n after episodes like 3 N 4 they all said how great the episodes were. So I honestly just think ppl forget ab this part of the season and assume it was awful.

Yeah there definitely was a lot problems behind the scenes for the production of Book 2. Though I don't think it's terrible just uneven.

I’d really love it if they reacted to the trailers they’re really well done and it helps hype up the seasons of korra which is needed tbh watch the trailers they’re soooo goood

(not a spoiler) Korra in this season alone is really hard to stand at times, it feels like she flips out and loses her cool for no reason. Her character is really unlikeable in this season imo compared to 1,3 and 4

I loved Korra but season 2 was just boring and dreadful. I got half away through it and stopped. Did not pick it back up till season 3 came out. I just restarted there and I caught up on the story line. looking forward to season 3. XD

As I've said before book 2 was hit or miss for me. But it definitely ends on an awesome finale. It is also followed by the best season in my opinion.

Half the reason I dislike this season is because of how bratty Korra is early on ugh... It’s not a bad season just forgettable compared to the others. After watching Blindwaves reaction though I realised hate was such a strong word, because it does have good parts. So instead of hating on B2 I’ll just hype B3 because my god BEST BOOK OF ALL!!!

some of these episodes are gonna look kind of weird because a different studio animated a few of them. things will go back to normal and look a alot better in the seconf​ half.

Def my least favorite season of Korra but there is still soooooo much cool stuff in it. Can't wait for you guys to get to season 3/4 because theyre flat out spectacular.

korra was 17 in the first season. it's been six months between the books and now every character has had a birthday in that time so she's 18 now. Also the southern water tribe was just as big in the previous season, the place where they were at was just a different part of the southern tribe

I appreciate that Micky and others want to take the production problems into account when criticizing the show, but I think you should still treat the show like its own product and judge it on its own merits. Love the reaction guys, keep it up.

Rana is the first person I've seen to think the octopus spirit and the "rebel" spirit are the same one. Sometimes it is... difficult to follow her thought processes.

I'm not convinced the "production problems" aren't the creators shifting blame. From what I've heard: 1) LoK is so far outside of Nickelodeon's normal content that they didn't really know how to handle the show, so they pretty much let the creators do whatever they wanted. Bryke stated this in an interview -- but later backpedaled in a later interview -- so I'm not sure what to believe. Though nothing about the problems in the writing of Book 2 seem like they would have been pushes by Nick -- so I tend to think the former is true. 2) Book 2 was greenlit while Book 1 was still in production, so the "they didn't know they were getting a second season" argument isn't really true. 3) Budget cuts, bizarre scheduling problems, and the shift to online-only didn't start happening until Book 3. From what I understand the only thing that can really be blamed on Nick is poor marketing and/or scheduling, neither of which would have affected the actual content of Book 2, which is what people have issues with. I think the creators just dropped the ball, and fans of the series don't want to admit that, so they use Nick as an easy scapegoat.

Ugh all the talking while the characters are talking. Please tell me you aren't those type of reactors who can't pay attention to what you're reacting to. Instead of repeating "it's like DBZ" over and over (and the animation and art is a huge step up from season 1 so I have no idea why anyone is criticizing it), maybe listen to what they're saying? You know? :( :(
