Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood 1x8 Reaction

Did you guys know that Lust partly inspired Asami Sato's appearance/character design in Legend of Korra?

Anonymous

I disagree, I like hearing the comparison between the two

Kunal

Thats false, Bryan Konietzko said himself he wasnt aware of lust as he had made asamis design a full year before he watched fullmetal alchemist

Patrick Balot

So, I tried to just rewatch each episode before your reactions last week and kinda overshot it. Currently at episode 50. Yeaaaaaa, so I'm gonna need y'all to start releasing 2-3 FMA:B episodes per week. Thaaaaaaankss.

Loved the reaction, but can we plz have Navi stop mentioning the original FMA series. A lot of ppl haven't seen it and I personally don't really care about comparing the two every episode. Also make sure not to miss the aftercredit scenes in some of the eps, I believe ya'll missed one in ep 6 that would've helped explain something here. These are the eps that have them: 6, 8, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33, 36, 40, 42, 43, 44, 46, 48, and 49. (Credit to Jacky Lam)

you'll soon reach the really good part of the show - imho, episodes 10 through 26 are some of the best. One awsome episode after the other. Oh, and don't miss out on the after-credits.

Rafael Benedicto

This show has 64 episodes. At this rate you'd take more than a year to finish uploading the entire series.

Also, you don't really need to indicate the season number. This show only had 1 season which ran continuously from episodes 1-64

Frankie H

Suraj and Chris, the bodyguards names and ranks are Sergeant Brosh and Lieutenant Ross (not to be confused with Rose who was in episode 3), and they're not alchemists just regular soldiers.

Lalisa Truong

You could technically say there were seasons though just based on how many different intros/outros there are at certain points.

*sigh* Next episode is the only one in the entire series I don't like.

Same, I'm glad that story didn't drag on past that episode

For the arm issue Ed was having - the reason behind it was revealed in a post-credit scene in the episode with the repair job at Winry's. There's a screw she forgot to put into his arm which is why it acted up. Gotta watch out for those! :)

olof lennartz is it really though? If they hadn't done the stupid "are you sure you're real?" thing here, they could've skipped that whole stupid story.

The idea that your existence is artificial, that you were never truly "alive", is something that is closely tied to the central plot points and themes. Yes, he obviously existed and yes, the episode isn't fantastic, but we as viewers need to see that Al can flip too - he's not always the compassionate, level-headed and overall nice person that we see. But as I said, I don't think it's a great episode either.
