I hope they do a plushie dance for every intro

The first series started out really strong - stronger than brotherhood, though not by much. But then it got...worse. At least in my opinion. The 2003 series was darker though, and often a bit uncomfortable to watch - but it was good, so you had to continue. FMA:B really picks up in a few episodes, and just gets better and better. I personally like that there is more comedy - it creates a nice balance between light-hearted and dark.

The 03 series had its fair share of silliness too. "Tiny miniskirts", the whole Psirin episode, Ed freaked out about being short just as much, plus lots of other stuff. BH is just more consistently balanced about it imo, which is one of the reasons why it works more for me.

I loved both series and comparing them to each other is hard not to do. But I would really prefer for Navi to not say anything about the first series since all the other people do not have that knowledge. I would like for them to take this as it is and figure everything out, without any kind of comparison that they wouldn't otherwise know about.

Great reaction guys

PS

I watched the first 13 episodes of 2003 and it waffled on and it was boring, while the Brotherhood is on point and they have reduced all the boring alchemy fights, so far it's been more interesting and entertaining.

I admit that it's been quite some time since the last time I saw the 2003 series. The stuff that I still remember are the really freaky, horror-esque parts. The series ending was a travesty, thuogh.

Man, I am so excited for you folks to get through this series! It was really enjoyable my first, second, and third go-round.

Kevin

On my first watch I didn't think too much of the openings and endings, but man after watching through all of Brotherhood they all stuck with me. The first ending is probably my favorite out of all of the ending songs. The specific animation for it really makes it special

SmilePlease

The whole Nina/Alexander thing gets made fun of for years by now. I think it's just a desperate attempt to cope with the fucked up story by making dark jokes about it. Sometimes you just have to laugh the tragedy away.

Fantastic show to react to!

Hope you guys didn't miss Episode 8's after credit too :P

Joshua

Did they react to episode 6?

MikeLee

The issue with starting on BroHo is that the show expects you to have seen the original, hence our Normie-4s' confusion at the end there. I don't blame them for not knowing what's going on completely, that's Broho's problem, since a good portion is just retread, it gets really sloppy until it hits the new stuff.
