Please let me know if the quality doesn't get better than 360p. don't know why youtube is being stupid about that lately ill have to reupload if that's the case.

Matthew H

Right now the only quality option I have is 360p. Still gonna watch though cause I am so pumped for the episode.

Praga

great reaction, if you guys decide to watch legend of korra after this (avatar sequel) you will learn at a point more about the significance of the lion turtle but i won't spoil it obviously

Nadya Coles

The lion turtle also appears on scrolls and things earlier in this series, so it didn't come quite out of nowhere even without LOK

Anonymous

not working :((

Brendan Horn

Ahhman it's gone, I was right in the middle of it. :(

Ken Dillon

Damn, just finished part 1 and now this one is unavailable.

Anonymous

In the comics there was a toph and bumi fight! Will you guys read the comics now that you are done with the series?

Anonymous

Ian Vega

Will Young Justice make the react wheel? I wish it to be so..

Anonymous

You guys please if u decide to watch Korra: WAIT!!!!! At least a couple of months. Trust me.

Anonymous

Yeah, I screamed because it says video unavailable!

Anonymous

its unavailable. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Anonymous

HA I finished it before it got taken down!!

Rich Cassou

Fun fact if you go back and watch The Library in season 2 Aang reads a book there that briefly mentions giant lion turtles and even has a picture of one.

Keep It Zen

There was a few references to the lion turtles in the show. -In the library Aang finds a drawing of one. -In Ba Sing Se, Sokka stands near a sculpture of one at the Palace. -In Sokka's Master, Piandao's door knockers are Lion Turtle heads. -Piandao tells sokka he has a heart as big as a Lion Turtle, -And he has sculpted Lion Turtle rocks for his Rock Garden.

Keep It Zen

ITS BACK!!!!!!

Anonymous

It's back up in better quality!

Anonymous

And the Blue Balls continue :(

Anonymous

If you could somehow make it happen, having Dante Basco in to talk to you guys would be so cool. Dante is a very cool guy and I feel like he'd be down if logistics worked out.

Anonymous

& it's back !!!!! Thank you

3rd Eye Phreak

Yo, ya'll normies need to get the Lost Adventures comics, it contains the Toph and Bumi duel :)

Anonymous

I CANNOT wait for the next episodes lol

Anonymous

"The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can touch the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginning-less time, darkness thrives in the void, but always yields to purifying light". So beautiful!

Noah Burke

I dont think i'll live if you dont release the last parts together

Noah Burke

This is the worst wait i'll have for the rest of the year

Devilline V. Raven

Before you get into LOK, I suggest you take a little bit of a break. It's a real different vibe. Plus, the epicness of ATLA will still be fresh in your minds (though for many of us fans, it will be forever haha). Love the reaction! Absolutely enjoy watching them! :)

Anonymous

in multiple episodes they reference the Lion turtle or have status of the lion turtle, Aang sees a picture of one in the library

Anonymous

I really hope that they are releasing the last 2 parts together. Would be pure torture to wait a week after seeing part 3.

Ian Vega

.... what? The lion turtle didn't say anything about killing lol not sure where you got that at all. And Mickey, I understand what you're saying, yes, he is the avatar, and it's not necessarily about how he feels, but at the same time, he's a 12 year old kid. And the main thing js, as the avatar, he also needs to stand for something, and lead by his own example. If there is another way, then killing shouldn't be his first inclination. He needs to show that violence and killing isn't the only way to lead the world through peace. And I know you guys already finished the whole thing, but I just feel that needed to be said.

olof

Deus ex testudo ftw. When in doubt, give the protaginst a brand-new power out of nowhere.

Lalisa Truong

Since they already finished the series, I find it ironic that Aang is the exact kind of Avatar the world needed. After 100 years of war, bloodshed, and loss, the world needed someone new to lead them to a new era of peace and love. Aang is the Avatar to do so because he was the Avatar to end the war through kindness and not violence. Kindness by showing mercy to the Firelord.

dont know what to do with life for another next week...

Manny D.

We'll start planning the funeral. Do you prefer cremation or a burial?

Anonymous

Check out the episode The library in season 2 again. In the episode Aang finds a scroll with maybe a past avatar and a lion turtle. Doesn't fix the Deus ex machina though.

Burooj Ahanger

The turtle is ancient, ntot post apocalyptic. The deus ex machina, that solves the protagonists fatal flaw. Sigh.

Anonymous

I actually disagree, the week inbetween should be enough time. Korra includes enough continuity of the original series that seeing certain things will be just as epic. the opening of episode one always gets me haha so awesome. Oh also they've already finished the series so i guess technically they are taking a break :P

Anthony

Animals morphed into lion turtles after a nuclear apocalypse

Miguel Estrella

can we get the last two episodes like right now lol i cant wait :(

Keep It Zen

"Why didn't you tell us YOU were the Avatar?" "Because... I never wanted to be."

PLEASE UPLOAD PART 3 AND PART 4 TOGETHER!!!

Sokka's Master episode has a Lion-Turtle sculpture. They are ancient and extremely long lived. I felt like it fit the story well. The past lives gave advice but left him conflicted. He needs a path to protect the world and honor his personal beliefs. Tough place to be.

KuzonFire121

Growing up, I always thought Aang didn’t listen to his past lives and followed the lion turtle’s advice. However, none of the past avatars explicitly says to kill the Firelord. I don’t think this is Nick trying to censor them because Aang draws the conclusion to “kill the Firelord” at the end. So I think the point is it’s easy to jump to the conclusion that killing is the only option, but there is always another option.

KuzonFire121

Also, Aang ain’t no bitch.

Keep It Zen

"Be decisive" "Shape your own destiny" "Justice will bring peace" "Do whatever it takes to protect the world." Aang pretty much followed all their advice, some more loosely than others but...

Ralph

This lion turtle debate is EXACTLY why y'all need to watch LoK

Anonymous

"In korra we will see more of the mythology" big yes and an abrupt no

Anonymous

Why is the bottom of the screen green?

Anonymous

I know, its murder people come on. Whether he's right or not, murder is not something to take lightly

Anonymous

They mention lion turtles in the library episode and there are statues of them all over the avatar world

Unique

We are slowly coming to an end for Avatar. :(

Shaan

There's always Korra, which wasn't as great but still awesome!

Phonic Reassignment

the masters are all the grand lotuses so bumi too, regular lotus ppl youll see in korra theyre just average benders that believe in the same thing

Anonymous

The most shocking part of all this: Nahid/Sokka rejecting food...Forget the lion turtles! What was that?! O.o

Anonymous

"Selfless duty calls you to sacrifice your own spiritual needs, and do whatever it takes to protect the world." My favourite quote from the Avatar series.

Anonymous

please watch korra after this 😂 a lot of people are gonna tell you not to, but imo it's a great follow up of avatar, and it's a little more mature

Anthony

Of course they are going to watch Korra. It's the only way to find out what happened to cabbage man.

Stewiebro

yeah i agree, season 3 and 4 of korra might even be better than a lot of avatar the last airbender

Anonymous

11:45 honor restored, Iroh approved.

Anonymous

everyone's faces when the lion turtle started talking lol

Brace110

They explain the Lion Turtle so well in Korra. It has a very important role and is connected to the avatar.

Anonymous

Have we become so desensitized by the world that we now believe the answer to everything is killing? I understand what you guys are saying and Aang even addressed it himself. "Firelord Ozai is a horrible person. And the world would probably be better off without him." I agree with Avatar Yangchen in the sense that the Avatar needs to do what's best for the world, despite his own personal beliefs. But that doesn't necessarily mean killing is the only way to fulfil his duty of protecting the world. I think that's the lesson that the show is trying to teach: There isn't just one path to peace. Think back to what Iroh was telling Zuko about the right way to end the war and the way history would see it. Now apply it to Aang's situation. It's true, this isn't just about Aang but also his LEGACY, HOW he ended the war, and how future generations would see it. And please don't forget that Aang is still a child. Even without him being a monk with certain morals instilled in him from birth, I would fully expect him to feel conflicted about killing Ozai. How would you have felt if Aang was completely on board with killing from the get-go? It wouldn't sit right with me, personally. #AangAintNoBitch

thenormies

Your like the 10th person that has said this def gotta do a rewatch of the Library - Nahid

thenormies

Your right it would have been totally out of character for Aang to be all about killing from the get go. I dont think killing is the answer to everything but for some things i really feel its necessary. People sometimes are a danger to other there are so many criminals in our justice system that have gotten out of jail to commit far worse crimes and ruin more lives then originally going in. I feel like some people out there do deserve the ultimate punishment in an effort to keep others safe. In the case of the firelord i believe death is the best answer. Because if he is alive what makes you think he isnt gonna do it again? - Nahid

coffeemilk

Agreed, its kind of refreshing to see a character that could get away with killing the bad guy on their own show but try to find another way. So many reactors seem to want their characters to be killers because they equate death as the solution to the problem.

Anonymous

One of the reasons I love the Avatar series so much is that it brings up thought provoking conversations like this. I understand what you're saying and if it was me, and someone was trying to murder my family, my first instinct would be to protect them by whatever means necessary, killing if need be. However, if I had a choice to spare their life in the process, I would. Even if it's only to see them pay or repent for what they've done. This essentially falls back to something widely debated today: The death penalty. We ask ourselves, is it morally justifiable to kill people to show other people that killing people is wrong? I don't know the answer. Perhaps if our justice system wasn't so screwed up and actually focused on reforming criminals, they wouldn't be hurting more people. Of course, that all sounds good in an ideal world, which we don't live in. But my main point is that killing your enemy is kind of like putting a bandaid on a wound that won't heal. I think the show is trying to say true peace and healing is attainable through changing the heart and mind. That's what I got out of what the Lion Turtle was telling Aang.

Anthony

Just put him in jail. States don't have the right to execute their own citizens IMO. And I think Avatar Kiyoshi is wrong.

Justin Stokholm

Can't believe only 2 left. Such great episodes left. Can't wait till Korra!!!

KuzonFire121

My attempt to explain the lion turtle: Its mentioned that the 4 elements and their subsequent nations are different, but the differences are an illusion as all the elements make up one world/all the nations make up one people, most notably mentioned in the episode where Toph first metal bends. The books, or seasons, of the show are all named after the elements and to further demonstrate the unity of the people/elements, the books have lots of storytelling similarities. To name two of my favorites, all the books start with Aang being woken up and all the books end in a series of events where Zuko and Katara have a one on one encounter right before Aang ends up in Katara's arms. There are more but to come back to the lion turtle, each book, Aang has an encounter near the end that focuses on the spiritual side of his Avatar-ness, first season had the Ocean Spirit, second season had the Guru and the Lion Turtle fits the description for the third season. They all seem from left field/a little random because the quest to master the elements takes up your attention, just like it did for Aang.

Asadullah Khan

GOOSEBUMPS GALORE! All the memories of the finale rushing back. When I first watched it, it was my favorite thing at that point in time. Just two more left. CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOU GUYS HAVE A BLAST WITH THEM!

Anonymous

Listening to the discussion and watching your reactions it’s truly astonishing that you guys have missed spoilers for this long, which is a good thing, fresh reactions are always the best. Oh and p.s The Legend of Korra is amazing, a great addition to the saga, people need to give it some slack, it’s hard to follow one of the best animated tv shows ever made.

Anonymous

Zaheer is one of the best (and coolest) characters in Avatar.

Mten10th

Nahid is the one who's being a b!tch

Champion Bescos

Totally agree with Nahid. For a show that offers amazing truths, they really fumbled the finale by giving a borderline-selfish character like Aang an out. It wouldn't be sacrifice unless it cost something, and he was unwilling to ruin his own personal code to save thousands of lives and essentially the future of the world. Ugh. Aang was uber disappointing in the finale, but I get it - it's a kids show. Still, preach Nahid!

Anonymous

The lion turtle is not that random. You see a drawing of it in one of the scrolls Aang is reading in the library in the Season 2 episode The Library (approximately around 13 minutes 25 seconds into the episode).

Jen A. Blue

What out? TWICE during the battle, Aang has a kill shot--once when he redirects lightning and once in the Avatar State. Both times, he chooses not to use it. Killing Ozai was the easy way out--Aang did something much harder. He was DECISIVE--he made a decision not to kill and stuck to it. He did JUSTICE--Ozai, a man obsessed with power and his own specialness, will spend the rest of his life an ordinary, nonbending prisoner He was ACTIVE--he fought every step of the way to make sure Ozai couldn't carry out his monstrous plan. And he was willing to SACRIFICE--he risked not only his life, but his soul to spiritbend Ozai. He took his past lives' advice, and he made the tough choice--to risk his own life, not his enemy's, to save the world.

The Air Nation

The sandal Zuko has isnt random. I think its from season 1 episode 8 i think the winter solstice part one (its when iroh sees aang on the dragon in the spirit world) when iroh gets captured and zuki is following, he leaves his sandal behind for zuko to follow. I love this show. This is not a kids show
