I think the frozen lake was like a contest for the kids, who of them has more courage and is willing to go further than the other.

the actor playing siggy had to leave because of family problems IRL, so they had to write her character out. and i personally think that when she saw her daughter it was sign that she would be reunited with her family in valhalla, and that's why she chose to die. and i can't wait for the next episodes to come, they are so fucking good <3 ;-)

Harbard is a character that is up to interpretation and is a name of a certain god in norse mythology(not a spoiler), and you got to remember that in the show they believe in their gods, so even tho there is no magic in the show, whenever something unexplainable happens like siggy going into chock and dying in the lake, it is instead odin calling her to valhalla. hope it makes sense my english isn't the best.
