Important Update on Charging Policy (Patreon)

Hello Normies! Today really feels like winter is coming and I am not sure how I feel about it :( but anyway, happy September 1st! And happy EID to all of our Muslim Normies and Patreons!

We wanted to notify you today on a decision we made based on our previous experience with pledge cancellations. We have dropped by roughly $1600 overnight. Some of you wonder why not all of us or more of us are not full time and this is why. In order for people to give up their current hard earned full-time positions with benefits, we need stability. While we do understand that we are sometimes behind on our tiers, there is no way that could justify people cancelling their pledges before being charged only to sign up again to the same tier after the billing period is over. Usually, those are the same individuals who are giving us a hard time after some of our goals are not met in time. (I am not going to call out any names, but we see you...)

Therefore, to prevent individuals from constantly signing on and then canceling their pledge before the end of the month, we are going to be changing how the payment cycle works starting in a couple of weeks. You will now be charged immediately upon signing up to Patreon instead of the charge happening 1 month after you have been a Patron. We will inform you the day it happens, and hopefully if your card is currently charged at the end of the month/beginning of the month, it remains on that cycle. This payment update should only affect the new Patrons signing on. Let us know if you have any questions.
