wow sooner than expected, thanks suraj!!

'Bitter work' is the literal translation for kung fu. And since Aang and Zuko spend their time to learn a new form of kung fu(bending) this episode. the creators thought it was fitting to call the episode bitter work.

Asadullah Khan

Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Asadullah Khan

Thanks Normies. This came out just in time as I needed something after that Sense8 cancellation news.

Mten10th

This is a kid's show. It just happens to grow up with it's audience. Wait until you get to episode 11 of this season in comparison to episode 11 of season one.

Rich Cassou

Awesome guy! I love this episode I can't wait to see your reactions for the rest of the season and beyond

Anonymous

just keep it you 4

Thanatos

I want chris and navi in the season finale

Domi

I think it should just be you 4 for the rest of the series, UNLESS you LITERARY duck tape the other's mouths.

Thanatos

This editing in this episode was so good.

TB

I love how when Toph is trying to toughen up Aang she took his staff and nuts. Think about it.

Thank you

Manny D.

Foo Foo Cuddlypoops!! Yesss. But also love Iroh's "She's crazy and she needs to be put down"

Unique

yasssss

JJ

korra is fantastic and one of the best children's animation as well as the original show, though it is very different from the original. the only bad avatar property is the movie. some people are iffy on korra because of the setting and how different it is, but it is still required watching. you guys will love it no doubt, BUT we will cross that bridge when we come to it

Rich Cassou

"Pride is not he opposite of shame, but it's source" one of my favorite Iroh quotes ever, if only more people understood that.

Kya Wither

Wtf I just got notified!!!! Grrrrr

Anonymous

Dang! I forgot about this episode.

Jake Rush

I don't mind everyone for the Finale.

Anonymous

Awesome reaction! I have noticed that you guys have a tendency of sometimes cutting off the lady (Rana?) when she tries to offer up her thoughts, which is a bit of a letdown since I think we all want to hear what everyone's opinions and theories are. Besides that, this is my favorite reaction series and I can't wait for the next episode!

TheAmberPrince

There is Legend of Korra after this, if the crew is interested. But a break might be good, since the tones of the shows are so different.

TheAmberPrince

Also, with just you four, the reactions are more genuine, no over foreshadowing. Though special appearances for finales or what have you could be a thing

LadyVenom Way

Rep the set. Gotta rep the set. Chase a check. Never chase a bitch #MaskOnFuckItMaskOff XD <3 #AllOfMyHomiesAreNormies

TheAmberPrince

Korra is great, but has more ups and downs in quality, since production was season by season, without a planned arc for the entire series from the start

Upup

Next episode is one of my favorites from season 2!

Kris

Legend of Korra is beautiful and more mature than ATLAB

Anonymous

Agreed. Some people hate on Korra for some reason way to much. There is literally only about 8 so-so episodes in the entire series.

Anonymous

Despite this not being an episode with a lot of action, other than Aang fighting the sabertooth bear lion thing, it's one of my favorites. I love when they parallel Aang's journey with Zuko's, showing them both training in a new element. Also, Iroh's speech about the four elements is amazing, and gives the universe that much more depth. And showing Zuko break down at then end is powerful because it shows how much inner turmoil he has, like Rana said, with his banishment, his sister, and his mom leaving. Zuko's story is so beautifully told, especially in Book 2.

Anonymous

Also, I definitely prefer when it's just you four watching because I like to see first time reactions and predictions, but at the same time if more people want to watch the book 2 finale you should probably just let them because it's too fucking awesome to deny people the experience haha

fork

yupp, quite possibly the best epidode of the series, and season 2 isn't even my favorite season!

Anonymous

Legend of Korra is definitely more mature but I feel like the characters from ATLA are better

Anonymous

Toph sort of learned a bit of water bending by adapting her behavior and teaching style. Themes on themes on themes!

Anonymous

I vote you four :) Love the others but this group is just so pure

Anonymous

I like how they pointed out that the elements have "opposites". Aang is an airbender, and like Iroh said airbending is the element of freedom, which makes him the complete opposite in nature and personality than an earthbender, whose element is the element of substance and sturdiness. Same with a firebending avatar, the element of power and desire, would have trouble with learning waterbending, the element of adaptability and community.

I prefer just you four watching. I love Navi and Chris but they've seen the show already, so their expressions, head nods, or smallest comments can spoil the show. I love seeing you 4 theorize and discuss what just happened or what might happen. It's difficult to do that when there are people in the room who know the answer. This is nothing personal against Chris and Navi, as I said. What makes these reactions amazing is because you are experiencing it for the first time like we did when we were kids/teenagers. We had no idea what was going to happen and you deserve to have that experience too. So Rana, there's nothing wrong that you want to watch the show with just you 4.

Anonymous

P.S. Navi and Chris are my favorite people to watch when it comes to Game of Thrones/Rick and Morty reactions etc. If they never had watched Avatar, I would have loved for them to react to the show with you guys.

Anonymous

Nahid is the type of dude to put flame decal on his car because it's edgy. Just messing with you, Nahid lol

Anonymous

I vote for the fantastic 4! :)

Anonymous

Watching this episode reminds me of how awesome this show is!! Nothing like it.

Phonic Reassignment

EARTH is the Best/ Stone, Rock, Sand, Lava(Molten Rock), Mud...... Pretty much Toph

Srey

I never realised that Toph used positive reinforcement, I always thought that she was sarcastic when talking to Katara, but then yeah you are right she did use positive reinforcement when she say "that Aang stood his ground and can earth bend now" :) Watching Avatar now all grown up I spot different stuffs than when I was a kid :)

Anonymous

The second half of the season is gonna be sooo lit! Prepare to have massive feels guys. Probably the most emotional season of the series. Oh and the reason Iroh got hit by Azula the last episode was cause he got distracted when he realised Toph was friends with the Avatar as they had just met. You guys should definitely watch Korra. It a lot more mature and different in the sense that it doesn't have an overarching story across all it's seasons. Its more like each season has a big bad and its resolved it that season itself. They go much deeper into the lore of the universe though, i'm sure you guys will enjoy that!

Anonymous

I've suggested this before but just a reminder. coud you possibly upload the final 2 episodes unedited so we can watch it with our own copies. It is a really good one. I would compare it to another franchise but that would be a spoiler.

Anonymous

Invite anyone who wants to watch Book 2 finale but inform them ahead that any hints or explanations is still spoiling in a way :)

Srey

Nahid keep saying it's not a kid show but it is. It's just one that does not believe that kids cannot understand deep subjects. I watched Avatar when I was 12, It taught me a lot about life, friendship and respect. What is really good about Avatar is the complexity of each character, they are not one faced personality like most cartoons or even mangas characters are, the female characters in Avatar are complex and strong Katara, Toph, Yue, and an another that I will not name, are really good role model for girls, showing that a crush is not love, that love is something that takes time to built, that girls do not need prince in shining armour, and that they can protect themselves and protect their loved ones, that they need to fight for their right and that they can be as good as boys in anything :) :) And Aang and Zuko show boys that being a hero is not about physical power, it's about decision making and life choices. It about never breaking under peer pressure and doing what you know is right. This show is about life, and kids, they know the hardship of life. I lost my dad when I was a kid and I never found a character being closer to home than Aang, Zuko and Katara even the numerous Disney's orphans just sing it away. Avatar was the first show to actually show me that feeling angry and sad, and loving and hating the person who left was part of the mourning process. Not singing it away like Disney's does. This is why it's a good show, even though it's happening in a fantasy world it hits home. Thank you, guys, for making us come back to this wonderful world and characters. And Nahid and Rana you're my favorite reactors ;)

Bitter work is one of my favorite episodes! I'm new to your patreon channel but in glad I joined. Korra is great, well season 1, 3 (my favorite/the best) and 4 .. but the tone and style is different so I suggest taking a short break before starting it so you don't compare both shows too much. Love you 4 reactions and can't wait to see more. Keep it up guys!

rickie woodson

evil surj lol so sexy and so bad. LOVE IT

This episode has one of my favorite lines in the show, and the best Iroh ever had. To paraphrase: "Pride is not the opposite of shame, but its source. The only antidote to shame is true humility" So damned good. Great episode, especially Iroh dropping knowledge and great lines throughout.

Lalisa Truong

Iroh imparting that wisdom!

Keep It Zen

Maybe just add the final four in one vid like a movie, and we can add our own Avatar copy of the show, like you said. But that wouldn't work well for people on mobile, or for people who do not know where to watch the show online, and there are many of those.
