What are your thoughts on prayer?

I contemplated this a lot this morning. The best answer came when I considered 'when' it is that I pray. I pray when I'm driving in a blinding snowstorm alone. I pray when an animal is hurt and needs my help. I pray as I help a child who needs care. I pray when I am terribly ill. It might be nothing more than, "God help me ...." It may even be, "I need your help." But there it is.

I pray every day. Several times a day. It's no different than an incantation. It's my direct connection to the Creator. The Source. The Living Force. Whatever. No church or intercessor required.
