Expelled into the dawn sky from a desert canyon, a phantasmic baby. Its umbilical cord is still attached to the earth and its face is screwed up in misery. The baby’s flesh is blue, as if starved of oxygen. Whenever something takes on an independent existence there will be pain, suffering, and separation.
