The Deer, The Witch, The Shed, and The Baptist's Head!

THE DEER I am sitting on a moss-covered rock that is jutting out of a small cliff overlooking a petit waterfall flowing into a rocky stream. The truly magical Ravensdale forest surrounds me on this bright dry morning. This is one of the two places on this planet where I don't feel like I am a stranger in a strange land.

Tommie, I can't thank you enough for sharing this. I am very much where you are, very much experiencing “All of this is part of the process of inviting the Damaged Self to come home”. I've been giving him space to talk, or trying to, it's breaking me but it's also making me anew. You have helped give words to something I'm experiencing, trying to find, trying to understand. For this and much else over the years, I am grateful.
