One of the ways I dealt with a painful childhood was hugging trees. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a backyard that held three 75-year-old oak trees. I would occasionally hug one and the pain I was experiencing would just drain away. It wasn't until I was well into my 20's that I learned that is a way to ground negativity. Anyway, I have always loved nature an it never fails to astonish me. For instance, what you said about the bark of the tree. I didn't know that. Thank you.
