I have watched one kffl and one kfw I usually don't have time for kinda funny outside of work. I'll watch every kinda funny and kinda funny games podcast but as soon as it turns into long form shows/streams that are highly visual I have a hard time getting around to it.

Hi Greg, Let me talk you through my history with KFW real quick. I'm not a huge wrestling fan but being a KFBF, it feels like I'm wrestling-adjacent, so I absorb this stuff through osmosis. Fast forward to KFW and I start marathon the VODs a few weeks in once I actually figure out what it is and then I watch the VODs weekly until the end. I think the key thing for me is that I'm not always interested in watching them immediately. Being totally frank, KFW is just not a tier of content that I feel like I have to keep up with weekly. I just kind of watch them or marathon them whenever. It just comes down to personal viewing habits. Jumping off the show question, I'm definitely in the segment of the audience that would love a comic show or We Have Cool Friends over something like KFW or even any of the bonus content you're currently producing aside from the vlogs. The vlogs are actually the most consistent I've been watching KF content. Again, just being frank.

If you mean live, it’s just difficult to make the life streams due to work schedules. But that being said KFW is one of my favorite pieces of KF content and I can’t wait to watch the vod

Just not enough time in the day to sit down and watch it Greg. Majority of my KF content is consumed via podcasts. I’ll only ever watch the various reacts (trailers, showcases etc).

I really like the concept of these ideas, but I didn't really watch the KFW or KFFL after the first couple of episodes. It's a "bit" that gets boring, as it's more of the same each time. I've done the custom rosters on my own in order to create some unique match ups that I found fun... for instance I did this in NBA 2k because I can sim in-game years to watch a player develop over time and in the different eras of basketball history. The week to week matches interest me less because the computer plays the matches. It just looks like two people who don't know how to play. It's funny at times because of the stupid cpu stuff that happens in those matches, but I'd prefer a highly edited down version with the funniest or most epic moments, but this type of "let's play" video isn't really in the KF DNA.

Good point. I think the "bit" is a funny idea at first but gets old.

For me it's honestly mainly due to not being a wrestling fan and my pull to watch the KFFL vods is the sport format of it. If I miss one of the vods, it doesn't impact me watching another week and maybe catching up later. Each match is a part of a season but they don't depend on each other until the big final games and even then Andy or Mike would reference what teams lost and won. For the We Have Cool Friends, it does seem like a hard one to maintain because when does reaching out to some friends seem more like a interview call rather than just catching up with someone that is a friend. I think it's going to be hard to maintain people watching/listening every week if a show's initial draw was the guest being interviewed rather than the host who is doing the interviews or the format of the interviews. This problem reminds me of how Hot Ones started with less known celebrities/artists (not that Ja Rules isnt a big name but compared to them having Pedro Pascal right now there is a difference in current popularity) and created a unique show that had people coming back to see what celebrity was going to be burning up eating hot wings.

I watch when I can. Not a wrestling person. There’s so much KF content and only so much time in the day. I usually just prioritize everything else over KFW.

I’m not a football or a WWE fan but KFFL feels like a podcast while watching a football game. KFW feels like a commentary on a WWE game which makes it only enjoyable by wrestling fans I guess.

I’m not a wrestling person but I have watched here and there but I don’t count this as a “must watch” piece of content.. I think in the hours of content in a KFW there isn’t enough moments of holy shit this is great to justify the time to watch it, I think if you made KFW highlight videos where you take the 2-3 hour event and make a shorter video of the great match moments and so it’s easier to hop in and get out without the full commitment of watching the full stream

Not related to KFW but I had to say, you talking about Before Your Eyes made me finally play it and holy hell. How they gonna make a game where you should avoid blinking that makes you cry so you have to. Absolutely beautiful and thank you for talking about it so much.

KFW is great, I’ve watched a few episodes and loved them but bottom line, KF is a podcast company to me. Pretty much all of my KF consumption is audio only, that has clearly been worth enough to me to sub at the 25$ level but the more KF moves into long form video required content the more I rethink that expense. I loved party mode because it was short but outside of that no amount of video walls and tech will change my habits from audio only at work to an active watching situation.

I’ve just never been a wrestling person. I appreciate it and I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen of the content, but I’m just not in that world.

Not into wrestling whatsoever. I am a bit nervous with how much more content has become about wrestling lately, but maybe it's bc more wrestling events have happened? (Not tuned into that so not sure). I might even prefer KF creating a wrestling series or something in order to focus everything wrestling into it, instead of having wrestling content take over KF Podcast, KF afternoon streams, etc. I get that it's something a few people at KF are into, but most KF fans aren't into wrestling and it doesn't translate well into content. And having KF yelling at each other about wrestling, shooters etc doesn't make for good background listening, imo.

I loved We have cool friends! Also as a non wrestling person I watch KFW for you and Mike having fun, I just need time ti watch the new episode

Hi Greg, although I may not be a wrestling fan, I do enjoy watching KFW. The structure of the show is great in my opinion because I don’t have to know actual WWE wrestlers, or their backstories and rivalries. I get to watch everyone I know from KF, the KFBFs, and the games industry get in the ring and fight it out. One idea I thought might be fun is having someone like raid the show and dictate the matches that episode, kinda like Parris did last episode (4/13). Cmon, setting it up like Xbox vs. PlayStation was great! I’m not sure how that would fit the overarching story you’re trying to tell for the season but it’s just a thought I had. Thanks for everything KF.

Beating the dead horse here but first and foremost, not a wrestling person. That said, I watched the most recent one and a bit of constructive feedback as a first time watcher. I love the break-ins. I would LOVE as much of those as possible. The Paris bits I thought were a blast. Because they’re essentially simulations I appreciate the improvisation required for you all to rationalize what happened and set up future storylines. The other thing that immediately came to mind (I could be off base since it was my first one) I would love to have somewhat of an end goal for seasons in mind. Give some wiggle room for the improvisation but always be building to an inevitable end. Again I know it’s probably hard because they are sims but having something in that vein would be cool. For the non KFW stuff, I loved we have cool friends. Late to the party on it but I think it’s an unfortunate causality of people wanting a pretty narrow view of content focus (I feel like the overlap is why some in reviews don’t hit). I don’t know if there’s a clear answer on how to crack the code other than try to bring people on the podcast or integrate in existing shows.

I don’t find the computer simulation play out interesting at all. I watch the intro’s and the video skits, but skip the fights. If they actually played I might be more interested. And also not a wrestling person in general.

For me not a wrestling person at all. And prefer when you guys are actually playing the games. Though I also don’t watch the live streams and don’t go back for the vod. Would prefer that time be better spent on different content like kinda feudy like games or screencast about tv shows or movies the group has watched.

I hope this isn’t so late that y’all don’t see it. With KFW, I think so much of my lack of interest comes from the fact that the people represented aren’t the ones actually playing. That alone deflates the hype. One show I used to really love that captured the spirit of what KFW seems to be going for was the Movie Trivia Schmoedown. Most episodes were one on one head to heads of movie entertainment personalities (even actors like Katee Sakoff and Sam Witwer were in on it). They developed personas, cut promos, had title bouts, but also had to actually play and know their stuff. There was actual competition. Idk if you could get a ton of gaming personalities to come in and care about WWE 2K, but you could do something like game trivia or even flesh out Kinda Feudy to be a bigger sort of event. Anything accessible for people to come in and just get what’s going on. It’d be fun, you can get other outlets’ audiences to buy in, and play into the wrestling-like tropes you all do so well at.

Not sure if anyone is still checking back in on this but as someone who loves wrestling (to the point where I trained and now am one) the 2k games are really unappealing to me and the AI is painful to watch especially when theres so much actual weekly wrestling content to watch I do really like the idea behind KFW and I sorta dip in and out but like others have said I think the actual people would have to be playing to make it more interesting
