Ok guys, so remember how I've commented before about my Patreon campaign being steadily declining in the past few years? well, after the first half of 2024 I can confidently say that this trend has remained trending down!

Best case scenario, it's stagnant. And it even went down suddenly and significantly on the past month for some reason (<--actually clueless about why). That tells me that any changes and tweaks I made to my campaign in the past years made absolutely no difference on the revenue, despite any efforts me and my awesome assistants/mods have made (btw thanks dudes! it's not your fault whatsoever).

Anyway, far from being negative about it, this means to me that I should stop overthinking about what to draw and what rewards to offer, and just switch these support campaigns into glorified tipjars. I'll go with the flow and see what happens on the following 6 months, since all the numbers kept going down regardless of whatever I changed on the rewards.

I know I've talked about these supporter campaign issues with you guys at least once a year, but I think it's important to evaluate things often to see if there's improvements to make. And since all the things I've tried have failed, guess I'll just do the opposite and try nothing.

Well, I guess I'll simplify the tiers once again, to just support > voting > creative input, and that's it. Sorry about that, but at least you won't need to change anything on your end.

I'll finish Himerangers, Bimbo Jelly from Suggestbox, and then go back to Plumbers+Princess episode 2. Besides those, I'll just draw random things like my muses (mostly nintendo gals), my OCs, and other random ideas I want to make.

I know it may sound bitter, but I'm actually looking forward to change things without worrying too much about growing, and see what happens.

Rest assured, I'll keep drawing anyway!

(gotta clarify I'm not sad or mad, despite sounding bitter, I'm actually more relaxed to have a more simple path ahead)

I feel like it's Patreon itself that is fucking you over. They've had some relatively recent unpopular policy changes, right? If it was JUST stagnation I'd say it's more like the corporate "infinite growth" fallacy but if you're losing folk than it's possibly Patreon chasing away certain creators and artists

Mostly it's been rising costs of living. I really wish I had an extra $90 a month to kick to all my fave artists, and Patreon is... not doing well thanks to how strict it's getting about some things.

Well, there's a plethora of factors at play for sure, but if I blame Patreon or other external factors then I lose control over my own improvement. Creators can grow despite policy changes and all that, so I'll keep going just from a different perspective!

indeed, costs have raised all around the planet! makes it even more important to tweak patreon to make it worthy for both supporters and creators ;). As for patreon policies, at least I'm lucky that I don't draw most of the newly restricted kinks, but it sure has been a letdown. Subscribestar has picked up as competition, but it's still too small. I'm positive about the future, though!

Your character selection is solid, your art is terrific, and you invented the Special Shrooms style. People must be crazy.

thanks a lot! I believe I do too many different things, and people get disappointed when I don't draw more of what they joined for. I haven't done more animated GIFs in years, and I'm sure many people joined because of it. Same with games, comics, Princess Peach series, etc. I can't help it though, I enjoy switching things around.
