37. Thorium Ore Gold Farm Guide (Patreon)

Welcome to the Thorium Ore Gold Farm guide for World of Warcraft! This gold farm is one of my personal favorites when it comes to making gold in the game.

To begin, you'll want to head to Silithus, Winterspring, or The Blasted Lands. My preferred location is Silithus. To effectively farm this material, you'll need to have maxed out Classic Mining skill. However, you can still level up your mining while farming this area.

To start the farm, you'll want to fly around the edge of the zone you've chosen. You can find a farming route for this farm in the WorthIt Addon or on my Discord channel.

As for materials, the WorthIt Addon estimates that you can expect to gather around:

575 Thorium Ore

48 Truesilver Ore

777 Dense Stone

21 Arcane Crystals

10 Azerothian Diamonds

3 Large Opals

It's important to note that the real value of this gold farm comes from the Arcane Crystals. These can be used to create Arcanite Bars, which are used to make various classic transmog items, including the two legendary weapons, Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker and Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros. Due to this, Arcane Crystals are always in high demand and can fetch a good price on the market.

If you have an Alchemist, you can also turn the Arcane Crystals and Thorium Bars into Arcanite Bars. These tend to sell for a higher markup in gold, but it's also worth having the Alchemist trait of Transmute Master, which will give you an extra 20% Arcanite Bars on average. This means that you will produce 20% more Arcanite Bars for the same amount of materials, increasing your overall gold per hour for this gold farm.
