10 Gold Methods You Should Be Doing! (Patreon)

Introduction:

What Gold Method Should I Use?

Well this is a though question, and one that does not have a clear awnser,

due to Methods being better or worse on a server to server basis,

But some are timeless and can provide great gold,

Let, Us, Begin.

[1] Albino Cavefish – Deepholm

Coming in at number 1, and Located within the Zone of Deepholm,

We have the Albino Cavefish farm,

this will require the profession of Fishing,

with this you will want to head over to the fishing pools at the North West of the zone and atop the ledge.

Here you will be farming the pools of Albino Cavefish for these fish respectively and as such these fish can be sold on the auction house for a large amount of gold as they are used to create Deepstone Oil which in turn is used in the creation of the Vials of the Sands Mount which through this derives its value.

[2] Thorium Ore - Winterspring

Next up at number 2, we have the Thorium Ore farm,

Located not in Silithus but within the zone of Winterspring, this can be used another great Farm for Thorium Ore.

However, the Keynote item for this farm is of coarse the Arcane Crystals which come from these nodes.

These are used in the creation of some high end Transmog craft in which it gains its value from this.

On a side note this can be Crafted once farmed in Arcanite Bars further increasing you returns if profitable, so it is wise to double check this after your farming session if you have an Alchemist with this skill.

[3] Dampscale Basilisk Eye

Following onto this at number 3, we have the Dampscale Basilisk Eye farm,

These are used to gain Reputation with the Lower City and as such gains its value due to how fast you can gain reputation with this as a method of speed levelling this reputation.

To Farm these you should head over towards the zone of Terokkar Forest and within this zone you will be wanting to follow along the rivers slaying all Basilisks you find.

In addition to this it is a wise choice to bring a skinner as these mobs can also be skinned for extra Leather further increasing your gold per hour.

[4] Disenchant: Frostwoven Wristwraps

Coming in at number 4, and one method I use when I want to do gold making in a lazy fashion.

This is the Disenchanting of the Frostwoven Wristwraps,

These cost very little in regards to make from the tailoring Profession and if used in conjuction with the Disenchanting Ability from Enchanting I am able to produce Infinite Dust which I am then able to sell on for a profit.

This is somewhat of a go to for myself as I know Infinite Dusts mark up always provides me with a great return and sells rather well in regards to rate of sale making it so I am able to do very little work to make gold if I don't feel like farming on a given day.

[5] Smelting: Enchanted Elementium Bar

Next up at number 5, we have the Craft Enchanted Elementium Bar.

This Smelting Ability can be obtained through the Raid, Black Wing Lair from,

Master Elemental Shaper Krixix,

this item craft has made me so much gold, it is not even funny anymore.

This is one method is use with a restocking method to make sure I always have this item on the auction house at all times as the profit from this craft, is so good for myself I would be foolish not to do it for great returns every week.

[6] Prospecting: Osmenite Ore

As for number 6, I would be remissed if I did not mention Prospecting,

Prospecting can provide great return for destroying multiple different Ores,

The best ones I have found for myself is of course the Current Expansion Ore, but also Ghost Iron, Felslate and Osmenite Ore.

This is because the Gems are still in use today and provide on average greater returns.

However I am able to further increase my gold by for instance using my prospected materials to make items like the Panther mount, which then I am able to get faster sales as mount tend to sell faster then older gems.

[7] Battered Hilt ( + Disenchanting )

Following on to this at number 7, and Located within the Pit of Saron is the Battered Hilt Farm.

This is farmed on Heroic mode and to do this farm you should only be killing the trash mobs as to be able to reset the instance.

This gives use the best chance of obtaining the Battered Hilt but if you bring a Tailor with Northrend Scavenging.

You also receive a ton of Frostweave cloth which as stated earlier, are able to craft and disenchanted for additional gold further increasing your returns for this gold farm.

[8] Milling: Dreamleaf

Next up at number 8, we have the Ability of Mass Milling,

But not any old mass Milling,

This is Milling the Item, Dreamleaf,

This is because Dreamleaf can be Milled for Roseate and Sallow Pigment which can be used to craft a lot of the most high value Glyphs.

I generally use this to source cheap materials as Dreamleaf upon milling provides Nightmare Pods,

which contain additional Roseate Pigment and provides extra gold in regards to this, making it a prime choice for myself.

[9] Dark Iron Ore ( Blood of the Mountain )

Coming in at number 9, and Located within the Raid of the Molten Core,

We have the Dark Iron Ore and Blood farm,

This is where you will be going into the Raid with your Miner and Mining all of the Dark Iron Ore Nodes and while making your way around the instance slaying any of the Molten Destroyers,

This is for a chance of obtaining the Blood of the Mountain which sells for a great mark up and if run and reset 10 times per hour, your looking at some great returns moving forward.

[10]  Crafting Current ( Got Ya! ;) )

Lastly and to Finish off our list is Current Crafting,

Got Ya!

Crafting Current Gear is one of the most efficient ways to make gold.

This is because the demand is so great that you are able to sell them much more reliably.

The profit margins of course do vary on a server to server basis, but if you are looking for a stable way of making gold each week, this is by far your best better.

If I had to make a Recomendation I would suggest going with crafted gear, mainly focusing on Alternative Characters.

This is because we are reaching the finale of the expansion and a lot of players will be looking at gearing there alts to a reasonable level to make the levelling process within the next expansion that much easier.
