Several people have requested my new Baa Baa Black Sheep verses, which are already canon around my house.

I'm working with a friend to pitch this as a picture book, so hopefully this is an epic preview to a future baby classic. Fingers crossed!

Baa Baa Black Sheep: The Secret Verses

Baa Baa Black Sheep have you any wool

Yes sir, yes sir six bags full

One for the master

One for the dame

One for the little boy who lives down the lane

One for the owls

One for the crows

One for the fireflies that glitter and glow

Baa Baa black sheep have you any wool

Yes sir, yes five bags full

One for the sorcerer

One for his cats

One for the sea serpent’s fuzzy black hat

One for the bat-queen

Who needs a new gown

One for the chilly wolves who prowl round the town

Baa Baa Black Sheep have you any wool?

Yes sir, yes sir four bags full

One for the vampire's

Thick winter coat

One for the thing that lives in the moat

One for the moon and

One for the stars

Big silver earmuffs and a million scarves

Baa Baa Black Sheep have you any wool

Yes sir, yes sir three bags full

One for the skeleton

One for the trees

One for the magic child who meets them all for tea

Baa Baa Black Sheep have you any wool

Yes sir, yes sir, two bags full

One for the mad wizard’s favorite toad

One for the happy witch who lives down the road

Baa Baa Black Sheep have you any wool

Yes sir, yes sir, one bag full

One for the ghost of the lord in the hall

He needs it for a suit for the graveyard ball

Baa Baa Black Sheep have you any wool

No sir, no sir no bags full

None for the ghost or the witch or the cats

None for the serpent or the moon or the bat

None for the toad or the wolves or the trees

None for the stars or the child having tea

None for the little boy, none for the ghost

Not even for the thing that lives in the moat

None for the vampire and none for the dame

But if you come in spring I shall have wool again
