  • Summary:
At present, I am in the process of tidying up the code for the purpose of sharing it on Github as an open-source project. This means that anyone will be able to freely download it without any charge. Therefore, if you are only interested in accessing the latest versions of the project, there will no longer be a necessity to continue donating to Patreon, unless of course you wish to continue supporting me. I am releasing this information before the month ends so that you have the option to decline the next charge if you so desire. I'm will keep updating the GUI after it's release as open source.

    Full explanation:
It's no secret that this technology is evolving at an alarming pace, and the current workflow that I use is making it slower and slower to develop it.

    1. It require a lot of libraries, sometimes I need to edit those libraries to work with my project. Once the project it open source, I can edit the code on those libraries and submit a pull change, improving the libraries (helping the open source community) and making my own code cleaner.
    2. The full .exe build will be optional, some users may prefer to simple update the Github code, this will make each update really small, just a few kB most times. You won't need to download gbs of files each time.
    3. You can download the project via Github, usually better than Drive or other hosts.
    4. You can follow development via commits, it will also be easier and faster to fix small bugs.
    5. Users will some programming knowledge can do small edition to the code to fit their need.
    6. I Always use a really flexible license, I don't mind if someone create a product with this code on the future and sell/profit from it.
    7. Still plan to release the .exe build from time to time, but you will have the option to use the github if you like. Making it easier to release updates.

It will some more time to me to finish cleaning the code. I may also need to remove some minor features (because of my modified libraries) but will try to keep everything as close as the last build.

I've used SD GRisk as a way to introduce friends to stable diffusion. This will make it even easier to get people started. I hope this works out for you, I'll refer as many people as I can. Thanks for the great software!

I have some questions. 1. Does the article mean you are going to 'not completely but kind of abandon' stable diffusion project? 2. Are you going to upload full file here when the change is big enough? 3. What are patreon only contents in the future? Thank you.

Keep up the great work. I don't have time to fiddle with code so having a UI option has been great for me. I am eagerly looking forward to the control net options.

It was a good ride while it lasted, there's always going to be use for supporting great software creators like you GRisk!

Keen for open source. I will still support you as I am interested in your work! I was thinking as a small feature an option to hide or show the console UI its only helpful for me if there is errors. I might add it once this goes open source

You said you're releasing it before the end of the month. I haven't been able to download any versions of SD GRISK except the free version (1.0)
