2021 in review (I'm not late, you're late) (Patreon)

Small update on the everything. You know, the new year's update I promised... 10 days ago

This past year has been wild, honestly. Like, even with being locked inside, and feeling like I got nothing done, it was still a hell of a year.   

I finished  

• We're Not Here 
• Campus Creatures
• Horns in the Library 2 
• Plot Twist: It's Gay 
• Any Witch Way 
• with 1 chapter to go, almost finished Among Brighter Stars 
• A bunch of short stories, like The Bad Breakup, I shall Be Your Shield and Edging of Tomorrow  

I also started streaming, which has been a lot of fun, and met a bunch of new people. Honestly, I still don't really believe there's so gosh darn many of you, and for that I'm still incredibly grateful :) Also got my gender marker changed, orchi done, and with some luck, 2022 will be even cooler.  

So. What's next?  

The Near Future

• Through Verdant Mirrors is getting 3 new chapters this month. Two months after that, Book 1 of Through Verdant Mirrors will be done! That's kinda huge, and showing that the Omni Tier works! A huge thank you to Itiberia for commissioning it! 
• There's a short story I'll be starting soon, commissioned by Ivy, so look out for that :3 
• Also, I'll be doing more Blot Out The Sun too soon (thank you, Mythriel). I'll be giving it a clickbait-y title and cover (below) for scribblehub. Let's see if we can sucker some people into reading wholesome trans literature >:)  

This Coming Year

• In one week, I'm starting my work with Starterslabo. With their help, I'll hopefully be able to expand my reach and audience. Since they will be in charge of my income and expenses for a while, it's possible things might change. If that happens, I'll keep the server up, of course. I doubt anything drastic will happen, I do want to say something, of course. You'll all be kept in the loop. And if you hear nothing: no news will be good news :3  
• Beyond that, I want to keep doing a mix of shorter and longer works, switching up between my more easily accessible stuff and my weird high-concept ideas. So what specifically?  
• The Penumbra sequel is very probably happening. I've been itching to get back to that world 
• Depending on Itiberia, there might be a sequel to Through Verdant Mirrors. There was talk of a possible trilogy :3 
• I'm finishing up Any Other Name and, if I find the time, that one might get a sequel too! 
• Girl By Popular Vote is likely getting the novella treatment :3 
• Arm Candy (The mob boss transition story) will likely also get one!
• Sequels to Mutually Assured Seduction and Horns In The Library :3
• I'm finishing my damn tabletop RPG 
• I want to get started on livestreaming a ttrpg campaign as well. Should be good fun!  

The Distant Future

• If and when my finances are stable enough that I don't have to worry about making rent if only a few patrons leave, and I can write just to write, I'm continuing and finishing Demon Queen 2. If you want to see that sooner rather than later, get your friends and family in on this too :p (Okay but for real, don't feel like you have to pay me more. In fact, I'd rather have a thousand 2-dollar patrons than forty 50-dollar ones.) 
• In a similar vein, Flipping Out is too high-concept and doesn't have the large audience-appeal I need. That's just how it is at the moment. One day, I'll finish this queer heist story.  
• Eris. One day
• Penumbra Cinematic Universe BAYBEE 
• On a more serious note: I want to do more collabs. Maybe this year. Maybe next year. Maybe in the far future. I want to work with someone on making a comic.  
• Don't stop writing. I met up with some fellow writers this week and I realized that you could offer me 10k a month right now if I stop writing forever, and I wouldn't take it.   

So yeah. Things still very cool. Things still exciting. I'm not going anywhere. I hope you don't either :)
